^Nice. I’ve finally been waiting for the last two weeks because every thing I could possibly send ILR they have. I was interviewed 2.5 weeks ago. So now the long wait.

Does Cornell notify by email, online, or snail mail?

They supposedly notify us of their decision through mail on a rolling basis starting Mid-April.

Are we expected to send our AP scores to Cornell even though our current college transcript shows we received credit for AP classes? I could understand that we would have to send Cornell our AP scores from College Board AFTER our acceptance, but do we do so BEFORE? Does anyone know?

I don’t think we need to send AP scores. As long as you received credits for them, and these credits show on your transcript Cornell’s adcom will know about it. After you are accepted they might ask for official AP scores from the CB.

Definitely just posted a sticky inside my mailbox my mailperson stating:

“If there is a large envelope addressed from Cornell University, please place it at the top of the mail pile. If it’s the opposite…hide it amongst the rest of the mail.
Thank you for your consideration and have a nice day! (:”

that is funny 06122010. By the way 06122010, can you answer my question in the page 61.

Thank you 45daysinrome.

@06122010: That’s so funny!

Anyone here applying with GT option?
Do we need to resubmit CSS and FAFSA? I didn’t :(

@john1234567 I’m pretty sure the admissions officers (whoever they may be) read your general stats but the actual college’s decision carries much more weight.

@Blackbeltbabsz hahahaha I wrote “(rejection…)” after “opposite,” so they got the general idea of what the opposite referred to. Then again, I’m pretty sure they’ve delivered plenty of acceptances and rejections from colleges that they’d understand what a large envelope as opposed to a regular 1/3 sized envelope entails…hahaha

@israilov I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to resubmit your CSS and FAFSA…regardless of university, all students wanting financial aid throughout their time at said university has to submit a new one every year because the information on your taxes change every year.

does anybody know if we needed to send course descriptions for classes that were required by the major we are applying to?

I applied under a GT major. I don’t know if that’s really true. I mean who’s really competitive with a 3.0 (that’s for CALS)? Do you know if the encouraged courses come into account? I applied as an animal science major, prevets are encouraged to have ochem I/II. There’s no way that I could’ve completed those courses in 2 years. I did the Bio I/II, Chem I/II, A&P I/II, Microbio sequence.

@kiwilemon: it differs by school; CoE wanted it, so I e-mailed it a month ago…there should have been specific direction if the school wanted it. In general I think you send it sooner or later for the review of how many transfer credits once you get in. I guess CoE gives that decision along with acceptance then…

I got a call from Mr. Schachner this morning and I got accepted. As I was driving to school, I had to pull off to the side of the road otherwise I would have crashed. Awesome awesome moment. God bless to the rest of you.

@eyethink
Congraz!!! How long have you been waiting since your application been forwarded?

Probably four or five weeks. I got interviewed on March 23rd (on my birthday lol). Dream come true.

You are probably the first on CC got accepted. Congraz again!!

@eyethink

Congratulations, man!

Congratulation eyethink!! Were you a GT?

Thanks for the salutations. I am not GT. Just your run of the mill California community college applicant. Suffice it to say, I’ve been a big proponent of Cornell and ILR for the last two years. But getting a call from Mr. Schachner himself was a nice personal touch. Let me know if I can answer questions for any prospective applicants.
