Good luck to all of you! I never applied to prep schools, but I did apply to a super selective summer program last year so I feel like I know a just a littlebit about what all of you are feeling now. I remember the sleepless nighs, the countdowns, etc. Anyway, just wanted to wish all of you guys the best of luck and try not to stress too much about it!

P.S. I'm also a high school junior, but unlike logisticswizard, I'm fine with middleschoolers being here. Most of your threads are much more relevant and interesting than his ;)

yes! thank you thank you :) you are one of the many people here....it's just that logisticswizard is configuring his army of the prejudiced ones....hmph. tommorow he says he will have a mega random thread day...im okay with randomness, but he crosses the line...

Good luck to you all! I remember waiting last year. March 10 was a Thursday and my daughter didn't hear from a couple of schools until the following Monday. It was a very long weekend. And getting into the web sites for the schools that let you get notified that way was frustrating - too many people accessing at once!

hehe... good luck. Don't worry about Logistics. I seriously think he's like smoking something or something. I too am a junior, and please don't let people like logistics scare you. Middle schoolers are welcome here, I'm just uncomfortable w/ 6th + 7th sometimes(because topics can become PG13 on this forum).

I too applied to a very selective boarding school(and got in :) ) and I'm awaiting decisions from RSI at the moment, so I know how it feels. Just know that you have a far greater shot at admittance than I do! ;)

My daughter attends one of the elite prep schools on full fin aid. Some schools will let you see decision on internet and some will mail you packages at home. Thick envelopes with full aid are very big relief. If you have multiple options with full financial aid in all of the schools, visit school that interest you most and then decide. They all have something different to offer. Good luck to you all.

Hey guys, I just got my first acceptance letter today from Lincoln (which is an all-girls day school) Nevertheless, getting an acceptance letter felt really good! And...it had confetti! How cute!

Make sure you take the opportunity to visit the schools you got into during the revisit times. Everyone talks so much about how great this or that school is, but you really have to see it for yourself before you sign away four years of your life to them.

P.S. At Andover we're having School President speeches during one of our revisit days so be sure to come check us out!

We applied to Winsor a couple years ago for our daughter, and got our response on the 10th (we live in a Boston suburb). 5th grade is competitive- we were told they received @ 200 applications for the 20 slots. Good Luck!

I need opinions... How does Ojai Valley School (ovs.org) look as a safety? I'm pretty sure I can get in and it's on rolling admissions. It's not as good as Cate, but I don't think it looks that bad... but then again I don't have much experience with this kind of stuff.

want a scholarship - there are at least like, ten others, that u can find on applying for prep school!!!! ppl who dropped in briefly in the thread, in and out, but werent really constant with the thread.

i just looked back at applying to prep school!!! and after rummaging around i found

all right people, what wil you do if you get rejected from all of ur schools? will you stay at your public high school or continue applying to schools with rolling admissions?

Hmmm... well, I only applied to one school and the chances of getting into that are like, only about 10%-20%, I figure. I'm probably going to apply for school with rolling admissions, but none of the ones I'm looking at seem as good of a fit for me as Cate does.

i applied to six schools, and about four of them i wouldn't feel bad for attending...( i meant that as in 'there are better schools...)
i think i should get into at least one of them...if i don't, well, maybe a local public school.
