loo…and now we have the jealous grammar police.

I apologize for defending a language that deserves to be used correctly by its native speakers. I don’t consider myself the grammar police, but that doesn’t excuse people from at least trying to appear functional as a writer.

…you trollin’ bro?

I was accepted! :)

my stats: 3.97 GPA (out of 4, weighted), 1970 SATS (better scores on SAT IIs), 31 ACT, a bunch of APs, honors, etc.
ecs include piano, cello, NHS, teaching music, american cancer society, and few others

I realize that some of my numbers were a little low, but to be very honest, I think that being a legacy (most of my family went there) might have helped.

Good luck to everyone else!

ughhh has anyone from nj gotten an email yet??

Nope. I am just another self-righteous ******* trying to go to NEU.

mittens, are you from MA?

did anyone from CT here yet?

@mittens12 congrats! Did you receive any $$?

I’m from NJ and I haven’t gotten anything yet :/.

Awesome job to those who got in so far!

Sorry about the deferrals/rejections though too.

I live in California. Imagine how long I have to wait.

Congrats Mittens12! And no, your stats appear fantastic! Good job!

@gretzky17 Talk about rude. And are you really saying Swimhockey wasn’t being functional as a writer? You do know that this is a forum, let alone, we ALL know what he said. Forgive him for using “very” before unique, and by that I mean, he should forgive you for being such an a**. (See what I did there, that is called Rhetoric!! Functional writers use that!) Are you impressed? If not, I do not care. Get a life bro! You will get nowhere in life by being a stuck-up and rude individual.

this is my only response from a school today, let me know if any new yorkers hear something

5PM…anything?

gretzky17: u mad

In all honesty, though: grow up, dude! Everyone here is either a high school senior applying to a competitive university or an adult hoping his/her kid is accepted. I’m pretty sure we’re all capable of speaking and using English properly. You don’t need to get so uptight just because someone else doesn’t feel he has to be writing with thesis essay quality on a message board.

^ there is no comma after “let alone”. Just kidding, I agree with you. @gretzky17, chill bro, no need to be a dick

I got deferred

Waiting not patiently here in NY. Do not understand, however, people posting with averages of 4.16, 4.5 etc. Son’s school is out of 4.0 with no weighting so not sure how the weighting even works or what it would be. Stats here are 28 ACT with a 10 on the writing portion, 24/466 standing, 3.94 un weighted GPA with mostly Honors classes and only 1 AP, which was English but score 5. Each year increased the difficulty of the courses until now in Sr. year basically Honors, AP and a college level Economics class. Applying to the CBA

@eric1018 I greatly appreciate you exerting your impeccable morals on me - I have little doubt you are a model citizen! I am not sure when someone who lends constructive criticism becomes a “stuck-up, rude ass”?

Just got deferred…
