<p>Anything is possible, and I’m checking daily, but I don’t expect to know until late Monday at the earliest. I think it’s going to be a looooooong day.</p>

<p>Seriously, you all need to chill out… you will know within a week. I understand the anticipation (I had my obsession of checking CC every hour during my spring break last year to see whether college decisions were released, but it is seriously a waste of time). Stay engaged in your school work and your social activities and the time will fly by… by the way, I find it funny that parents are obsessing over this too by checking every day (no offense or anything, AVHS dad) :)</p>

<p>It’s the colleges newspaper…has some pretty interesting stuff like controversy over the Night of Decadence (NOD) including its “impact” on women…</p>

<p>The Standard isn’t the college newspaper exactly; that’s the Rice Thresher. The standard is an online daily magazine…a place where students can vent and discuss, etc.

<p>Also, i dont think being from Houston really makes any difference on your ED decision, i feel like that rumour starts when someone from Houston doesn’t know why he/she didnt get in and blames on something they cant control…</p>

<p>^ agreed. I just went on princeton review’s website and searched for rice university. Under the student body, it says that about 45% of students are from out of state…So I’m guessing it’s just a rumor that being from Texas will hurt your chances.</p>
