<p>Here is the issue and why I have joined this site: My friend just texted me at like 10 tonight to tell me that her friend got into NYU ED. IS THAT POSSIBLE? It can’t be…no one should know until the 15th, correct? I’m moments from a heart attack, and I am trying to divert it. Did anyone hear from NYU this week? I’m so worried. My stress has just hit the top of the charts. Please, help!</p>
<p>We have one person CONFIRMING that ED’s are going out (someone named nuclear something)… so it is very possible. This person lives in upstate new york. So yeah… good luck!</p>

<p>FYI- We live in the Upper Midwest and the letter took 5 days to get here. If I recall correctly, there was no geographic rhyme or reason to when people heard last year. As I said, once the letters are in the mail, it’s in the hands of the USPS. Hang in there, and don’t read anything into the timing of when people heard- that’s the trap my son got caught in last year and it turned out to be random anyhow.</p>
<p>There is no 100% surefire way of knowing whether these rumors are true or not. Other people probably enjoy getting everyone on this board all worked up. I say we all just stick with what NYU has on their website and believe that decisions will not be mailed out until later this week. Let your decision be a surprise, and good luck to all! :)</p>

<p>I’m going to try to organize this amongst my friends, but anyone down for (and this mostly works for people in apartment buildings) camping out in the lobby with a book and some soup (it’s cold) and waiting for the mailman to arrive next Tuesday?</p>
