Official ED Thread Class of 2014!

I’ve found that most of the work is outside of the classroom, anyway. There’s no one over your shoulder making sure you are doing readings. A lot of my classes have the grade based on three tests. That’s it. None of this “extra credit” or “participation” hooey! There’s less busy work in college, as well.

God you scared me. Haha I feel like a freak. I’m on this thing in all my free periods at school, and my lunch breaks.

And I know someone who got into NYU Stern with a 500 in Math RD. What do you think is the lowest they’ll ever go?

Btw monoclide…I’m a chick. Just wanted to clarify.

No, photographylife, I meant yours. I love the warm color. (No slur intended to sjphotob, didn’t see!)

I applied to Gallatin ED. I’m so anxious that I could not bring myself to school this morning. It’s so pathetic. Does anyone know the exact day most people received their letters last year? I have checked my mail box every day this week. I realize “late in the week of December 7” is not Wednesday (today), but you never know.

Also, once one is accepted, what sort of grades does he/she need to maintain? Second semester junior year and first quarter senior year, I had a 4.0 (W). That is, I had 6 As and a B. Regardless of whether or not I get in, I am taking an extra class next semester (not by choice) and working on my school play–despite senioritis, there is no way I can maintain these grades. Is this okay? I mean lets say I get 4 Bs and 4 As? What are the minimum grades I need to maintain?

I believe once you’re in, you’re in.
Unless you start getting Ds and Fs

@missamericanpie Everyone at my school is required to buy a laptop. The whole campus has wireless internet. Thus, obsessive checking of this forum happens non stop throughout the day. I assume everyone else is in a computer class or in their school library or something.

soooooo while people are still waiting… what high schools do you guys attend?

Nothing in the mail today!

I can’t take this! 5 days until the 15th. Augghhh

Anyone? Lowest SAT Math? No? Okay…

Okay, so there’s a bunch of conflicting information here.
On the NYU admissions site, it says most letters will be mailed towards the end of the week of December 7th.
On the NYU admissions forums, someone asked if letters would be mailed the week of the 6th or the week of the 13th. The board administrator replied that they “hope” to mail them the week of the 13th.
AGAIN on the NYU admissions forums, someone asked if the letters would be sent around Thursday, December 10th and the board administrator said “Yes. That is correct.”

So HOPEFULLY HOPEFULLY HOPEFULLY most of them go out tomorrow… here in St. Louis, that means Saturday if a miracle happens, but probably Monday.

I am seriously losing my mind. I went through the ED thread from last year to see if anyone said whether it was sent priority mail or first-class… which of course, they didn’t. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

Does NYU require mid-school grade reports?

anyone here being recruited for a sport?

i’m not a player i just crush a lot.

LOL @ Woosah :)

yeah I think we’ve pretty much figured out that they’re mailing them tomorrow. I hope SOMEONE gets one by Friday, just so we can verify that. Until then… jeez I don’t know how much more panicking I can do. I think I’m wearing myself out with all this panicking!

Yeah everglow. This waiting game is driving me nuts. Anyone still getting Lima Sierra Papas?

I don’t know if anyone got one today… I think they HAVE to be about done, the info session for LSP is Dec 16. I guess if you don’t live in the tri-state area, you’d have to make arrangements to get yourself here for that.

Then again, I said that last week and there was a whole slew of LSPs on monday. Thanks, USPS :D

annwexler

thank you SOOO much. what did you apply for?

I’m going to let you guys in on a little itty bitty hunch of mine… the letters drop Friday, I’m sort of hoping I get mine friday if they send em out that morning but i don’t count on it… I’m guessing Saturday for me and monday for most, tuesday for California people and such
