I usually look forward to the weekends…but I hope next week comes up fast.
@SleepingGrunt - I’ll call them as well, then. I need to know already. It’s slightly demanding because it isn’t even the 15th yet, but it’s worth a shot. So are you calling them on Monday for sure?

Are you? I will if I get nothing from them.

I think I will. We both should, and then cross-check whether we got the same information or not.

NYU is pretty big on mixed signals.

I got accepted to CAS!

I am an international student and I was expecting an e-mail for a week, but they sent the mail via UPS just fifteen minutes ago!

Can you please tell us the location?

I live in Istanbul, Turkey.

As it was previously mentioned, it came in a purple folder, and simply wrote “Congratulations And Welcome” in a small font.

I AM SO ANXIOUS!!
this has been the longest month of my life!

dann congrats goggledmouse!! so then inteenationals arent getting them by email??

international students are still getting email notifications. it’s just unclear which will arrive first – the email or the physical letter.

but then shouldnt we get the email first??

maybe they mailed the letters out before they plan on emailing it. who knows?

im so anxious i guess itll be another sleepless night

I really don’t understand how the process works, there were many ambivalent replies at the NYU forum and I still haven’t received an email yet.

yeah the infopop thing said intrrnstionals would get it by email… sigh

This is very confusing. Seriously…they say they’ll notify international students via e-mail but they end up getting a post mail (post-marked about a week ago) instead? What the hell is going on? Isn’t e-mail a much faster method of communication?

But then again, sigoaqui may be right - maybe they mailed the decisions last week (or even earlier, depending upon when the application was submitted), but are e-mailing them in the following week?

wow, that’s confusing…

I’m also an international (Poland) and haven’t heard anything yet…

I thought maybe they send regular packages to people who got in and an email to those who got rejected?

Waiting sucks…

@Elizo007, that’s highly unlikely. I think they send out e-mails irrespective of the decision. Either way, it’s too early to judge. I think we’ll all know how it goes by the end of next week. It’s just really hard to wait.

I know its unlikely. :)

I would like to know how it works tough. And coming up with that kind of theories keeps my mind of the fact that I’m going crazy waiting.

Gotta hand it to NYU. I mean, College Prowl(e)r gave me the impression that they are pretty unconventional. Didn’t know it extended to FRIGGIN DECISION NOTIFICATIONS.

EDIT: Why do they censor the noun of ‘prowl’? Weird.

I found out via Facebook that two people in Belgium got their NYU acceptance letters. Now I don’t know if they were LSP’d or if they got into the college of their choice, but I know 2 people in Turkey (from CC) also got their acceptances today. A lucky day for Europeans, I’m presuming?
