We find out in a month!!
AHHHHHHH
I’m nervous.

How much will the school care about a lower ACT score if the applicant is amazing everywhere else? (24)

So is it the second week of December we get notified or is it December 15th? The actual date? I’m hearing so many stories.

@ j.m.j

In the NYU admissions forum, the admissions officer said that decisions were mailed in the second week of December, so I think it really depends on where you live/how fast your mail is. The 15th is just an estimation.

Here’s the link to the forum if you want to check it out:

Wow so technically we only have 2 weeks! I live in the East Coast so mail from NY really gets her rather decent for me. The 15th is probably for the kids who reside on the west coast or something. So class of 2014 the date is almost here!! I wish the all of you best of luck and many blessings

good luck and as j.m.j says, many blessings to everyone!! hope to God we all get accepted =] nyu 2014!!

Good luck everyone! I know you are as nervous and as freaked out as I am. I keep trying to distract myslef from thinking about until my letter comes

I applied ED to CAS and am so scared I might not get in because of my SAT scores are lower than what they want!

I hope NYU can overlook a lower score for everything else a student offers.

I agree stohare2010 :)

stohare/hellothere (awww…that rhymes!)

I think, considering NYU’s MANY different options for submitting standardized scores, they are probably the BEST option for a school that doesn’t put as much weight on the score. Which of course I hate because my D’s standardized scores are all a lot better than her GPA. But…whatcha gonna do?

Luck to all you EDers.

Nyu <3 :)!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I can barely think about anything else other than NYU and the size of the acceptance package!

same here! So Nervous.

Relax a bit.
I was almost paralyzed to see a thin NYU envelope in my mailbox, and then I found out that it’s merely a letter telling me that “hi-buddy-we-received-your-app.”
Good luck everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!

when did you get a letter ^ did everyone else? I only received an email confirmation

P.S. I’m an international applicant (from a Canadian high school) so the process may be different. :)

@xmaraki24

i got that letter in physical form too and im a virginia resident. so you should call in and/or email to check your application status.

good luck! :)

Ok I’m kind of being paranoid now, but did EVERYONE else receive a letter in the mail as well??

@NYUwouldbenice

when did you receive the letter? I had called about two weeks ago and they said they had received everything so idk!

Man, I really think that alot of us are overthinking this process just quite a bit, I think we all should take a breather. I think that we are all still fine if we didnt recieve a confirmation letter, I think that it’s just another way of saying hey, we have all of your stuff, I mean the e-mail was what did it for me, then I called Tisch, and they said that they have processed my portfolio. So all in all I think that we all are good and we should just wait until well after Sunday, next week. I think this letter process is just like the packet process. NYU sent me two big booklets earlier this month talking about Tisch and the Academic Standards at NYU. I dont think everyone got that either. Does that mean thier app is denied? By all means no, Well the week of the 10th soon appoaches.
