Ughhhh nooo why are they releasing it on Presidents day lol I thought they would do it earlier
Maybe they need more time?
Did everyone get assigned a financial aid advisior to be their main contact for this cycle?
i did, i think everyone did… there was an email that was like… “you now have an advisor, go to this website to find out who it is!”
Nope, didn’t get that… Well, GG LOL
I didn’t get that. Is that a sign of acceptance ?
@timeforAP @20152016senior I didn’t get assigned a financial aid advisor, but I haven’t filed my FAFSA or IDOC yet. Have you guys both turned those in yet? It could be that they assign an advisor once your financial aid stuff is finished. When did the email come?
It came before the missing materials email. I have not done my IDOC yet
Are you sure you guys didnt? It wasnt titled anything like “You now Have an adivsor” …that part was tucked into the email so you might of missed it. The email was just titled pretty generically - “2016-17 Financial Aid Application Received”. Unless the other person got a more specific email about it that I didn’t… this is all I think it was. It probably only applies to people so far along in the FinAid process. I doubt it means anything else theres no need to worry
Edit: I think you need to have your FAFSA and Profile both completed to get the email…have you all both done that and have it confirmed on OPUS that they have it?
I have submitted fafsa and css
I didn’t file FAFSA yet bc it’s due March 1st and my parents haven’t filed their taxes yet
are mid year report and transcript added to everyone’s OPUS account TO DO LIST ?
mid year report and transcript just added to my TO DO LIST in OPUS. everyone has these or just me ?
Well my understanding is that OPUS is used for not just applicants but admitted kids and current students at emory too. Eventually, if you get admitted, Emory is still going to want you to send in your mid year report eventually, even though your already in, and that would likely be done through OPUS, so that’s probably why its being added now. Some kids are already in through ED1, and more and more will start getting admitted either through ED2 or Regular, so they are probably just preparing by updating the To Do List for when people get admitted and have a whole new list of things they need to send in - for example the “Midyear report”
does everyone have that on their to do list ?
i realize my last message didnt really answer your question fully - i have it on my list too, it just appeared today
It also appeared on my opus account but I don’t have school until Tuesday. Is it okay if I send it after decisions are already out?
Yeah that is fine, at this point your already accepted or denied already, so you can send it in after. I think the official stance is kind of murky whether ED2 kids should send in midyear transcripts or not - I know a lot of schools dont have them done on time - I doubt it would effect your decision if you didnt send it in
I talked to them about it a few minutes ago, they said that its a glitch in the system that midyear report is showing up on OPUS to do list and that it doesn’t effect anything or mean anything for ED2 applicants
does that mean that only people who got accepted or waitlisted get that glitch ? is it a sign of admission ?
