^ if they didnt want them, they wouldnt go through the trouble of asking… especially so late in the review process… thats my theory… i think im right… well see on thursday … gl!

so you guys are referring to another type of midterm report asked for more recently in addition to the one on the common app we had to submit with teachers signing off on all of our midterm grades?

no. the same one. that’s why i find they’re assumption a bit ridiculous.
they could be asking for the mid-term report to see how their grades were holding up second semester and reject them based on that. the incident from last year that they mentioned is merely a coincidence in my opinion

Penn emailed me on April 28th about missing mine – and I turned in my application March 15th. While I would LOVE for this to be the case, I don’t see how it could be an advantage (unless some people didn’t turn in a mid-term report and were NOT notified, or something). And based on the date of my email and smarts1’s, there isn’t a correlation between when you turned in the app and when they contacted you.

So if we weren’t asked for recent marks… should I be worried
I was halfway through my second term when I submitted my application and included available marks… that’s all they wanted right?

as i know, there are people who did not submit their mid-term report has not yet received an email to ask for it…so maybe this does mean something…just guess…

Is UPenn completely need-blind for transfers? I know that Brown is need-aware, and Vanderbilt is need blind, unless one specific college “runs out” (so to speak) of aid money…

“All transfer applicants must submit their mid-term grades. Failure to do so within the specified guidelines will put you at a disadvantage in the process and may delay our decision. Use the Common Application Mid-Term Report.”

I also talked to the office a while back and it is required.

@Ace6904 - It’s not written on the website, but if your Dean writes to them saying that your school doesn’t release mid term grades, then they exempt you from that requirement.
