@000AAAaaa your GPA won’t carry over to the university you transfer to, only your credits will.

damn the Columbia application was a ■■■■■ sucks that it was all for nothing. Congrats to those accepted!

I made an account to post here. I was waitlisted. I have 4.0 GPA at UC Berkeley, I’m transferring as a Freshman into my Sophomore year. I had a 4.55 weighted GPA in high school and a 34 ACT with a 2070 SAT. I also have like 10 APs all of which are 5s.

Waitlisted!

Accepted. For future applicants, I had a 4.0 at a Public Ivy, 3.85 on my midterm report, 2280 SAT. Congrats to everyone that got in.

Ok, let me tell you all that now I know SAT scores aren’t everything, and neither is your school. I was just accepted from St. John’s University, 4.0 average, a lot of ECs and a 1980 SAT score. I showed them who I am, and they liked it.

I’m so grateful.

Accepted
University of Miami
3.55 GPA College 3.75 High School
Major: Film Studies and English
ACT: 34
SAT 2120 (combined)
Very active extracurricularly in high school, not so much college.

You can get in without the most stellar stats, to all future applicants. You just need to express who you are clearly and how you will utilize what is offered at Columbia.

I plan on becoming a director/writer who makes films that facilitate social change. I elaborated on how Columbia with its location, academic environment, and curriculum can help with me becoming that person.

Be concise. Show that you are taking initiative.

Anyone can write a twee essay about being unhappy at their schools or how they need to be challenged.

Any questions, message me. I feel like I’m not the most typical acceptee and can lend advice.
