Hey @TheEarlyBird

Same here. I’ve secured one excellent recommendation and am in the process of securing my second one. I intend on keeping the essays short but exemplary of my passion for the school. I’ll be applying to a few schools and hoping for the best.

I also tutored an international student, Named So-Hyeon Kim, from my local church in Modesto. She was a fourth-grader from South Korea who wanted to study in the US.
Anyone else’s portal say that almost everything is missing/incomplete (yellow triangle symbol)?

@TheEarlyBird‌ call the admissions office and ask for the status of any materials listed as missing/incomplete. However, April 8 (today) is the last day to submit any materials. I got an email from Duke saying that if your application remains incomplete by April 8, it will be canceled.

@KingofSweden Everything’s been updated and processed and marked as complete, application, financial aid and all. I’ve also sent my winter quarter grades to all the schools I’m applying to as well. And so begins the agonizing wait. So close yet so far!

@TheEarlyBird‌ @KingofSweden‌ Hey Guys, I keep getting a “It appears your authentication to access SISS/ACES/STORM has timed out. Please close any related browser sessions, open a new session, enter the correct URL and log in again.” on the portal. what does this mean?

Hey all! I applied to Duke as well. Not going to post stats because it just stresses me out, haha.
Mine is saying the same message about my authentication timing out- best guess is that since it’s past April 8 they shut down our access to the system, since (theoretically) all our materials should be in and we should know what’s in/not in.

@Lyle76 I was having issues logging in a few days ago, but I’m accessing my application status portal fine now. Are you still having issues?

@KingofSweden Im good now

Sorry! A bit late to this discussion.

I am also applying to Duke! Does anyone think that the results will be released before May 15?

I’m hoping it’s before the 15th! That way I can finalize my summer plans and focus on studying for my midterms lol

Checked my application status today, and my status has changed. Under “to-do’s” my checklist is gone and has been replaced with:

“You do not have any to-do’s at this time.”

Perhaps this means my application has been forwarded for review?

That’s what my portal says too. I’m sure they’ve started reviewing applications by now–I hope.

Will they notify us by email? Or through the portal?

@KingofSweden‌ I have the same thing. and I think it just means that our application is complete. Good luck with midterms everyone!
