just make sure that you ain’t too drunk when the girl actually comes.

Then you get another date and that one shows up, takes you to the party and stays! He may not be as smoking hot, and you will always think about the one who got away, but at least youve got ole reliable, and your beer breath philosophical uncle.

Congrats to those who got in today!! I keep checking my spam box too. Never know…

@000AAAaaa‌ I am really concerned about the fact that I did not take the SAT during my high school years. I am an international student applicant and took 75credits / 4.0 GPA from 4 years state university in the US.
my HS gpa is around 3.9/4.5 and I edited my essay 25 times at least, so pretty solid I hope so… Did some activities regarding my minor, sustainability, and econ major in my college. 3 different RL from professors and advisor in the college. for leadership part, I was a president in high school, and leader of orchestra in HS as well. Do you think my application is good or soso or bad… I cannot concetate on the school work at alllllll

my major is Econ and mentioned on my essay that I want to choose my minor as a sustainability

Your application looks really strong! and I really do not think SAT’s are weighed heavily when you have so many credits- my SAT score was very low compared to the average Cornell SAT score so honestly I think it hurt my application more than it helped. You shouldn’t be too worried, I truly believe that you have a good chance and it seems like Cornell really places an emphasis on essays so you are looking like a pretty sure shot! Try and focus on school for now, as much as I love this forum it did stress me out a lot so try and check when you are taking a break and have worked for a few hours! ( I need to take my own advice haha)

@UofU2014Cornell If this makes you feel any better I too retook my SAT this december as well as my TOEFL. (I believe you can reason two ways here, 1. you have an advantage because you are more mature thus you should get a higher score on you SATs, 2. The SAT doesn’t really test knowledge it tests your dedication to lear 10000+ specialized vocabulary, and your ability to adapt to a high speed, high stress test environment where you don’t have time to actually think. Therefore, because you are not in high school anymore, and you are not surrounded by the SAT craze, you should get a lower score, thus it is a good thing if you got a decent score after high school.

@000AAAaaa thanks! I hope the admission staff will find out mine as a attractive one… Again Congrat!!!
@wellletshope I never took SAT, and have no idea about SAT at all

@chehopeful LOL it’s funny that you say that. I was rejected this past spring on the day of two tests. I got in my car around 7:05 and saw the Cornell email that I had received at 7sharp. I saw that I was rejected and proceeded to drive an hour through los angeles traffic to get to school, and then took two tests. Lets definitely hope we get in )=
