Ooopps. Sorry my high school transcript was missing and they just confirmed my application is now completed. So do not worry

@transferAP

so they always allow late transfer applications every year?

I got an e-mail stating that my application is complete and has been forwarded for review…why so late?

Still waiting for a reply to my ‘early read’ email.

Hi All,

First time poster. Applying as a somewhat non-traditional student to the international health program. Just wanted to check…has no one received their decisions yet?

I’m so surprised by how long schools make you wait, when the impending school year is just around the corner?!

I too received an email that my missing materials have been received and that my application is being forwarded to review. Sounds like they may be holding to that June 1st deadline.

@trickery

My point was that they never update their website. I don’t think they accept late applications.

I just got an acceptance letter! It was mailed. Apparently they accepted 200 candidates of around 2000. I applied to MSB.

^congratulations!! Hopefully I’ll get mine soon haha

@hoyahopeful congrats!! By any chance, did you previously apply or were you waitlisted before?

@hoyahopeful84 where did your letter get mailed to? Are you from MD or someplace close?

they accept 200 in 2000? Does that mean they the acceptance rate is 10% or the final enrollment number is around 200?

Enrollment is probably 200. Acceptance is usually a little higher.

Btw hoya, did you get an email too, or judt the snail mail

Unless other people post about letters today, I think this person is lying. Gtown hasn’t sent letters in the past for transfers.

On another note, I might have an explanation for the longer wait this year. Gtown accepted around 500 less freshman for fall 2013 than they did for fall 2012 but the yield was about the same. So since May 1, the admissions committee has probably been working on filling the remaining spots in the freshman class from the waitlist instead of evaluating transfer apps.

He’s from DC, I don’t doubt it at all.

He’s from DC and I remembered that he said his application is handwritten.
However, I wish that I could receive an email before the snail mail.

I also live in DC and didn’t receive a letter either way. So I don’t think the DC locale has much to do with it–lying or not.

My application was also handwritten and I live in DC and I received nothing today, good or bad. I’m just a little skeptical is all.

Why anyone would handwrite an application is beyond me…

@transferAP

they say they are accepting late applications…on their website…and it was posted after the March 1st deadline
