I am applying from Irvine xD Yeah the trimester system is a bugger. I don’t know if we do have to send in the score. I am sure if we do G-town will notify us about it.

Hi everyone! I just got my CC account today, so I am a bit late to this thread. I applied to the College, as a History major.

Anyway, I got an email from admissions today about the alumni interview! That was a surprise.

I just got an email about scheduling the alumni interview today. Strangely the guy interviewing me is an infectious disease MD, which is something I have a very strong interest in and mentioned in my essays. Will try to parlay it into a shadowing opportunity if it goes well.

my interviewer is the assis. director of a program at Gtown…he also did business at georgetown…hope it goes well…

does anyone know how much of influence will the interview have in the process?

I am still waiting for the interview mail to come in…

Me too, don’t worry.

Not everyone gets an interview.

I didn’t get an email, so I’m assuming I will not be interviewed.

Got an interview email. I’m surprised that I am suppose to contact her, usually they contact us. Hopefully this goes well. Btw, is an interview a good sign or does it mean nothing?

^ I would assume it’s a good sign. Also, it partially depends on the availability of Georgetown alumni who are willing to interview you in your region. But yeah, be happy about it. See it as an opportunity to showcase your personality.

I wish I had the chance to be interviewed :(

I find it hard to believe that I’m not an interviewable candidate with a 2150 SAT, 3.94 college GPA, and 4.3 (weighted) HS GPA…if that’s the case though, oh well.

Or is it not necessary to have an interview to be considered for admission?

(and I’m not saying I’m a shoe-in or anything like that…I just don’t think I’m out of the picture)

^ Your stats are in the range for an accepted Georgetown transfer applicant. It’s strange you didn’t get one. Then again, it depends on location as well; some places have more Georgetown alumni willing to interview than others.

@yagijoonbota Same. I’m freaking out right now. I am already thinking about attempting to transfer as a junior.

Here’s a trick if you really want to find out about your interview status. Call admissions, tell them you accidentally deleted your spam and failed to check for an email from Georgetown, and ask them whether you will be interviewed or not.

I go to school in DC…

I feel for you.
I have a 2200 sat, 4.3 hs gpa, and a 3.925/4.0 college gpa.
Maybe it’s because I live in CA? Lol

Gahhh same here! Still a month and a half left until results come out!
Where did u apply?

I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences

Nice! I applied to Walsh. Goddamn scared… heard their accep.rate is low as hell.

Annnd I just realized it’s because I never submitted my application. Oops.

?!?!?! What happened

Apparently I had a “data validation error” on February 26 when I hit submit. I think what happened was that I typed “02/26/13” in the electronic signature and submitted just after midnight, making the date the 27th…so it came up as an error.

I sent them an email and will call tomorrow.
