1nkbl0tch, I'm having the same issue as you.

My son didn't have a regional rep. how did you get assigned one. Do you live in a foreign country?

I just emailed my harvard reader (1st time contacting them) since a kid who goes to school w/ me was admitted and encouraged me to contact her

hope that helps somehow
prolly won tho hah

Whats a "Harvard reader".?

I was actually checking both the application status page and the admitted students webpage. My son is "user not found" for admitted students, but his profile is still viewable on the application status page.

Just wondering, did anyone here get into Princeton, Yale or Stanford? My son didn't try those, I wish he had, just to see what would have happened.

bleumom,

I can't remember where, but on the harvard site there is a list of names and #'s of regional reps for the US. I'll try to find it and pass it on to you. What state are you from?

NEW YORK. Thanks guitars101!

for people who received "thank you" letters from their regional reps..what regions are you from?

Guitars 101, i found the names on the website. thanks for the info.

Emily, my son received the letter from an admissions officer, not a regional rep

bleumom - where are you from?

Emily: NEW York

so where is everyone going if harvard doesn't work out?

I'm wondering now whether he should have sent his letter to the regional rep instead of directly to the admissions office.

by harvard reader
i just meant admissions officer

My son is already admitted at Harvard. I hope the rest of you and your children also are admitted. You all must be great parents to be on this type of site in order to help you child. Best of luck!

bleumom,

Maybe a short, but direct e-mail to the regional rep now can help. After all, deliberations have just started. There is no way they could have gone through all the waitlistee's in 1 day.

what do regional reps do exactly?

for everyone who has asked:

I received a personal note from my regional rep (NC)
I cannot log into the admitted students website, but I can log into the application status website and see all my info.

The site I went to didn't display a rep for Indy-- should I contact Illinois's instead?

My advice is to contact Ilinois or the admissions office. i guess the regional rep would just forward your communication to the admissions office anyway.
