Emily,

hi

thanx for the info.. i guess we're the only int'ls on this thread so far

btw, wat is your nationality?? i'm korean so the odds are against me... but they only accepted 4 koreans this year (they usually accept 9 in average) so i'm hoping they'd want more koreans :) but again, harvard might just wanna accept fewer koreans this year for a change. :(

gadli--My D will be at Georgetown unless she gets into H. Really great place. I know she will be happy there.

Random observation, probably means absolutely nothing (I'm working on not-studying for AP econ):

So far admits come from one state in almost each of the main geographic regions of the US: NY for Mid Atlantic, VA for SE, TX for SW, CA for Pacific, IN for Mid West, and maybe someone from New England. No one from the Far West/ Mountain yet.

Don't mind me, I'm just trying to waste time. The phone rang a little while ago and I DIED.

i've been continually refreshing this thread instead of studying for ap econ hahaha

lol ... thats awesome

ASJDKL:ASKDLA:S omgg i want this so badly now. have they already decided who the 200 are??

Daisy1B, my son will also be there if not accepted at Harvard.

has anyone heard today?

You are lucky that your high school offers Differential Equations. The highest level math class offered by our hs is BC Calculus. We live in a rural section of western NJ. Our area is very whitebread and there are still a lot of farmers. What we need is more Asians. I'd bet then we'd get more advanced courses. (:

haha, our school offers Differential Equations and Multivariable Calculus, but the teacher is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. She regularly puts down things like 2+5 = 6 on the board. I'm definitely going to have to re-take everything again in college. I've learned next to nothing in that class, except that I hate vectors with a passion.

no news today, it seems

From what I have heard, approximately 144 students have been admitted from the waitlist from all parts of the US and the world in this first round. These were students who would have normally gotten in if the admissions office accepted the normal number of 2,100 initially (historically, they accepted 2,100), according to a reliable source that I have.

Everyone should have heard at this point if you were one of the 144.

144 Wow! Congrats to all of them. I'm still hoping for a spot.

Thanks xjayz

Wow.. already 144? Why did someone say that most of the activity was going to happen tomorrow and Friday?

i'm assuming that the 56 spots left are just for the rest of the crowd?

What's your source, if you don't mind me asking?

Well, these initial 144 have to respond. If enough say "no," then they'll go again for another round.

why did they say that they would take 200+ from the WL then?

are they done notifying all 144 already? or are they still doing it now
