Official Harvard RD 2016 Applicants' Discussion Thread

If my parents still haven’t even filed 2011 tax returns yet, does that mean I’m screwed for financial aid? :frowning: IDOC deadline was like 18 days ago, but I turned in FAFSA and CSS

I wouldn’t wait for the letter because you are going to know whether you got in or not just by looking at the envelope.

In a way, it’s kind of nice to figure it out that way. The wait is the problem.

corona276: send stuff in ASAP.

Harvard is gonna be the very last one I check since it’s right in the email. I already know I’ll be reading the email through barely open eyes once I click on it lol

I’m trying to organize how I’ma check the Ivies on the 29th. Should I check the definite ones first (likely letter schools) to build myself up or HYP first? I dunno! lol

I would go with HYP first, so if thing don’t work, you have something that gives you hope and confidence! :D

I agree, save the ones with the LLs for last

haha alright I think I may do that. It’s looking like Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Brown, UPenn, Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia right now. Yale is my dream! I really hope it comes true!
Harvard would be a nice second, though. :)

Wow I only applied to two ivies lol

You got a likely for Penn?

I’m going to go through the LL’s first and save HYP and UPenn for last. probably Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia, UPenn, Yale, Princeton, and then Harvard. so that way once I see the final rejections I will already have the mental reassurance that it is not the end of the world lol. oh, and then bite my nails until April 1st to see what Stanford has to say. :)

Spiffy: (I think you’re referring to me haha) I got likely letters from Dartmouth, Cornell, and Columbia.

That’s what I was thinking ivegothope but idk. It might be bad to have them last.

Impressive. You’re a prospective engineering student?

Did anyone else opt not to get an email? I want a rejection in the mail  and my three ivies will actually be spaced out.

No, I’m actually planning on going into biology and pre-med. It’ll probably change in college, but I’m applying as that.

Ah, I see. I’m surprised you pick Yale over Harvard though.

Why is that? I just felt much happier at Yale is all. Of course, that won’t mean anything if I get rejected haha

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

im so scared. i want to see the email…

10 days and 1 hour-ish!
It’s weird because I’ll be on Spring Break then and instead of wishing it would last forever I’ll be wishing it would the end would just come already so I could get my decisions.

My teacher only just emailed my ‘additional achievements’ letter today!
I that absolutely terrible? Will they even read it !!?

Someone please tell me I’m from the UK i have no idea!
