Yeah, I’m not too stressed. I’ve gotten likelies/early writes/notifications to Dartmouth, Smith, and NYU, so whatever happens I know I’m set. In fact, even if I get into HYP, I may still choose Dartmouth. So now I’m just waiting haha.

I think I’ll check in this order: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Dartmouth. I’m ambivalent towards Penn and Columbia (which is kind of ironic considering I was deferred from Columbia for ED haha), and I know about Dartmouth already.

What about people that haven’t gotten LLs/early writes…
What order are you checking decisions in on Ivy Day?

I’m thinking
Most likely → least likely (based purely on acceptance rates from years past)
Cornell > UPenn > Dartmouth > Brown > Princeton > Yale > Columbia > Harvard

No likely letters here, haha. I figure I’ll end up checking each one as soon as it comes in, and I really doubt they’ll all become available simultaneously, but if I got to choose the order:

Harvard -> Yale -> Brown -> Columbia

Get the obvious rejections out of the way first, then move on to the other rejections. :P

I will say that for SCEA, my D’s email showed up in her inbox at exactly 5:00. It was kinda surreal. Granted, there are less emails for SCEA. Best of luck to everyone. I remember the SCEA countdown like it was yesterday. And it doesn’t help that H tortures you by announcing the acceptance numbers/demographics the morning of decision day.

I’ll check in order of biggest dream school to less dream school:

Harvard- Princeton- Yale- Stanford- Brown- Georgetown- Dartmouth- Penn- Cornell/Berkeley, then my safeties.

This is silly though; let’s talk about something more substantive than order of the schools we will check haha.

Has anybody received an email from Harvard detailing the specifics of receiving the email? Does anybody know if the committee has finished its work yet? Also the Crimson last year did an article about the Class of 2015 10 days before decisions were mailed… Where is this years?

All this work over the past four years coming down in 9 days.

@jkreine,
The Crimson might have written that article last year due to the lack of an EA option.
This year, they’ve already covered part of the “Class of 2016”… So, while it would be nice to have another one for us RD’ers, I doubt it’ll happen.

As for Committee finishing and finalizing decisions: It should be done in one to two days. The FA office needs time to make its offers!

During my interview yesterday with an admissions officer, she told me that things were still pretty hectic so…I don’t think things are finalized just yet!

Some comic relief as you await your admissions decision. Love, Harvard freshmen who have nothing better to do with their time. :]
