^I think he had a video interview to talk about a specific part of his app.

My DD had phone interview with admissions few days ago as well. Meaning?

Have to be still in the running, or they wouldn’t interview this late.

Harvard ->Brown -> Yale -> Princeton

That way if I get into Harvard I won’t have to check any of the others =)

I called yesterday, and they said that decisions are being finalized today.

I just realized I for sure got rejected by Harvard. This is because all the other colleges I got into sent me an email about not finishing my financial aid requirements, including Cornell. So since Harvard hasn’t sent an email say that I will take it as a clue that I didn’t get in… To bad.

Not that I was expecting it though… Although I was just hopin for it. :(

If they’re finalizing their decisions today, the financial aid office won’t start computing your f.a. package until tomorrow.

I don’t think financial aid will influence acceptance. Get it in ASAP. If you are accepted, they can still calculate your package within a month and before the deadline to matriculate. The only danger would be not getting financial aid–if you were admitted.

I think he’s trying to say that they’re not bothering sending him e-mails about financial aid because they already rejected his app. =p

Spiffy1994 understood exactly what I am saying. Thank you.

So, if I got emailed a few weeks ago, does that mean I might get in???

What’d the email say?

Stop worrying guys! It’s all done. Don’t worry about what’s done

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

The email asked for my idoc. Standard procedure I believe, but I think we should stop thinking about possible scenarios tomorrow. The decisions are legitimately final tomorrow.

I think I remember reading an article where Dean William R. Fitzsimmons stated that anything can change up until the time decision letters get mailed.

Though, to be honest I don’t quite understand why it’s necessary.
Thoughts?

This is so nerve wracking realizing that they already know whether they are accepting me or not but I don’t, and I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting much good news next Thursday :(

Here, found the quote by Dean William R. Fitzsimmons from The NY Times:

“This rigorous comparative process strives to be deliberate, meticulous, and fair. It is labor intensive, but it permits extraordinary flexibility and the possibility of changing decisions virtually until the day the admissions committee mails them.”

oh shoot they didn’t email me but I sent in all my financial stuff anyways. But I forgot to update the fafsa from before the tax returns were done. Should i edit the fafsa now or should i leave it? they can see this year’s stuff since they have the IDOC.

the IDOC requirement is for all harvard applicants who apply for aid isnt it? so how can getting a notification from harvard to submit fin aid documents via the IDOC be a good sign?

It’s probably not. I’m just looking for something to cheer myself up a bit!
