Also, the moon was more brown than red to be honest, haha but beautiful all the same.

@Shangers Hi there! R u a Chinese citizen or r u just living in Shanghai? Either way, u r very lucky to have an interview in China. Do you mind sharing some of your backgrounds like SAT or ECs? Sorry if u feel like intruded by the question, but I am just curious about those ppl who got the interview:)
Also, do u know any other ppl that r interviewed? If u r from SH, u might actually know Solowhale lol

Hi, it is my first time writing on this post and I have a question. Is anybody Japanese here? Either international or from USA

Theres always the option of freezing yourself just make sure to pick an avalanche -free spot so u dont stay buried alive for centuries :D

@Tdowney
Just an American Expatriate living in China : D. I’ll PM you my details, don’t feel very comfortable sharing anything online haha but sure. I do not know anyone else who was interviewed, although I did hear from my interviewers that they were “trying to get as many people interviewed as possible”. In fact, I know that virtually no students from international students (big schools) from Shanghai EAed.

Nice South Park reference :D

Is this China town or something? Anyone not asian?

haha. does my half not asian get grouped in with you rarissimaavis?

I’m the whitest thing you’ve ever seen. I’m always surprised to see how many of you guys say you are asian!

RarissimaBird: I am also international, but french. I wonder how many french applicants there are to Harvard?

doesnt seem like many, alea

^Well my mom will be taking the letter out of the mailbox, so she will be the first to know, and then I would wear a Harvard shirt under my jacket to school on Friday, even though my parents don’t want me telling anybody. Take that, Mom and Dad!

@banana- good then: less competition :)

Hi everyone I’m from London, been stalking this page for ages but never bothered to register before.
From what I’m reading it sounds almost as if there are more international applicants in this thread than actual americans (what with the Chinese, French, etc)

Anyways just wanted to ask, do we wanna make a list of who’s international and applied EA to Harvard? Oh and what languages we speak? I speak French and German too btw so feel free to talk in different languages ;P

International EA Applicants to Harvard:

EnglishRower, London England
AleaJactaEst, ?? France
Everyone else

@banana: Just out of curiosity, did you put yourself as mixed or just white? I heard that many halfies put just white because there is a higher chance of acceptance this way.

@DiceHasBeenCast: you’re French?!!! I love French people!!! I’m trying to self study French :D. I’m an “international”, as in I don’t have US citizenship, but I’ve been living in the US since elementary school. Anyone know if I still count as an international?

@EnglishRower: Not a bad idea but I’m kind of nervous about putting anything personal online. Maybe we can put from what country we’re from in the decisions thread! Btw, are you a rower, too?!!

@RarissimaAvis
Yeah lol I row pretty big time I guess you row as well? How good are you? Lightweight or heavyweight? Haha good enough to get recruited?
I understand you, I had a long think before posting too. I think it should be ok if we just post city and nationality though? Or is there some sort of competition element to not revealing even that sort of stuff which I haven’t though of? ;P

i put myself as mixed. and i read that article btw. i dont think you get that much of an advantage by putting white over asian anyways. at least mixed race, is a minority, kind of. oh well.

@Rarissima: I think you are counted as international if you are not a US citizen or a permanent resident in the USA

@Virginian: Yes, I agree with you that I compete against all other internationals, but I suppose they cannot take all chinese or indians, so I imagine with equivalent credentials I hold a better chance as a french than as a chinese

@EnglishRower: I am from paris and attend a typical french "Lyc
