Runnerxc: “in case I don’t get in”… Mighty confident you are there… For a school with a 94% rejection rate… Lolol

Finally submitted yesterday! Hopefully they don’t get too mad they I didn’t follow the October 15 deadline… >.<

I sent my application two days ago, but Harvard didn’t download it? Are there any problem and when they will download my application?

So, for all the people that applied for financial aid using the css profile and everything, do you think its a big deal if the css profile application is in on time, but your parents’ 2011 tax returns which are being sent by snail mail are delayed? With the hurricane going on and everything, I feel like if I send the tax returns tomorrow, they might get there like by friday at earliest.

Does anyone’s Application Status page on the Harvard website still list the rec letters and school report as not received? It’s been 2 weeks since I submitted everything, I’m starting to worry

Ok, how do I know if Harvard received or downloaded anything in my app? I did submit two days ago, but I’ve received nothing indicating they’ve received it- is that normal?

Don’t you just need to submit the CSS PROFILE?

If your parents gained income or losses from business, partnerships or rental real estate then they have to submit their 2011 tax returns

for all those who are worrying: calm down! Harvard app is having several glitches, and the admission office will supposedly reopen tomorrow-so just call them if you are sooo concerned! Relax. Wish all of you the best =)

zhstkdblackbelt you will have to turn in 2012 tax forms anyway. the 2011 forms are just for an estimated package. doesn’t matter in terms of your real financial aid.

Yo daishi - same deal. I submitted on the 15th and they have my essay/supplements, but my recs are showing as not having been received. I checked with my counselor and she said her side of the common app is showing specifically “Submitted; Not Downloaded” under Harvard so I think it’s just a Harvard issue?

Good luck everyone!

Yeah, I emailed the file room, and got an automated response that basically said don’t worry about it.

Out of curiosity, if there’s some incredible development after the nov 1st deadline and you already submitted your app, can you just send an envelope with the new stuff to the admissions office? Would they accept that?

I believe you can also email them your update, and they’ll “add it to your file”.

guys i’ve procrastinated as hard as i could but everything is almost all together for my app - just wondering if the deadline is 11:59:59 ET? (cause i’m in CT so would i have to have everything in by 10:59:59 CT?)

OH MY GOODNESS I just submitted everything: common app, supplement, payment, school forms. My supplement dance DVD goes to the post office tomorrow (today, technically). Wow, this is truly the beginning of the rest of our lives. Good luck to everyone. 73 days…and so the wait begins.

@daishi55 The website indicates that you should call the office, and then send it if they tell you to.

OMG I just sent it! The wait begins.

Question: How long after did you get your access code? Is it really 2 weeks like the website says?

Should be hearing some numbers from Harvard any day now :)

@luv2dance - where did you get 73 days from? I thought Harvard get back to us around 15th December? Isn’t that 45 or so days away?

@msteiny1212
What numbers? Number of applications?

yeah, its definitely 44 days from today.

I think I’m going to send the update anyway, because I didn’t even send supplemental materials with my original application. Plus it’s awesome, I really want to send it.

Have anyone else’s recommendations also not been downloaded?
