No I wouldn’t call yet. They’re sorting out the information for every applicant, which takes a while. Since you sent yours by mail, it might take even longer. So I would wait until like next Wednesday or so for the application status to update.

I submitted my common application yesterday night (10/24/12), and at the time, it said “Submitted 10/24/12.” This morning, when I checked, it said “Downloaded 10/25/12.” Except now, it says “Submitted 10/24/12” again? Has this happened to any of you guys, or does anyone know why this has happened?

Also, do your guyses Supplements simply say “Completed,” or will it also later show up as “Downloaded” for those of you who submitted earlier?

I checked common app, and mine also changed from downloaded by college to submitted. I think if you check your application status on the harvard website though and it says everything has been received, then it should be fine.

@whitedoor, I don’t recall if mine said downloaded. I’m pretty sure they received it though since on the application status harvard website it says that they have everything

…anyone else not submit yet?

haha don’t worry, I haven’t either. bro you live in Hawaii???

erm…planning to do that soon. hopefully this sunday, but tuesday at the latest. #procrastination

Has anyone been on their interview yet? Do you know if the interviewers come in already knowing some things about you from your application? Or are they just basically given your name and contact info with no details?

I don’t know if it works the same way for Harvard, but Yale interviewers get basic info such as your name, contact info, what major you put down on your application, and that’s pretty much it. No test scores or anything.

I remember reading about a hidden Harvard supplement for counselors that is separate from the common app school report. Does anyone know if this still exists, and where to find it?

shelly: I had my interview this week. The guy asked for my transcript and SAT scores, so I assume they don’t get too much information from Harvard.

Have others submitted all application materials by Oct. 15 (with confirmation of a complete file), but not been contacted for interviews yet?

@shelly : So i should wait for a week, even if its after November 1?

And how long does it usually take for them to sort everything out?

@addwayb Wait until just before November 1st. I think that as long as it’s postmarked by November 1st it will be okay. And for me, I sent all my stuff in electronically on the 11th and the status page says they received it on the 19th.

@Foundered Did you have to bring a copy of your transcript or a copy of your SAT scores with you? Mine told me not to bring anything.

I brought a copy of my transcript and told him my SAT scores when he asked. If yours didn’t ask, though, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Has anyone found the hidden counselor supplement alluded to here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1031852-second-part-counselor-recommendation-yps.html

or does it even still exist?

Hey guys, i you submitted your application on a weekend, will you not get your access code until monday/later? I still need to report my scores…

Nevermind, I found out. 1-2 weeks after you submit, you get your access code and such

I was just contacted for my interview! So excited! Has anyone interviewed yet?

i had my interview at 2 today at a starbucks in nyc. it lasted for about 2 hours…

@mavericks17 what did you talk about??
