@skslxxbjk idk. i think i will wait until monday and call admissions office and express interest/concern. if they say doesnt matter then i’ll just wait it until dec 11th or whatever.

@collegeapps2k14 That sounds like a good idea. @steinway I’m still waiting on that one ref, so I’ll give my teacher the weekend. If it’s not in, then I’ll call admissions to let them know what’s up and reach out to my teacher so it gets in asap.

Who’s in private school? Who’s in public? Just wondering lol. I’m at a medium-sized public high school. (My graduating class has 309 people.)

Hi guys! I just had a quick question I hope someone on this site can help me with:
My interview is scheduled for tomorrow at a public library at around 1:30P.M. I was thinking of wearing either slacks with a nice blouse and a pair of low pumps or a pair of J.Crew pixie pants (it’s like a really thick legging material that looks like black jeans; I promise they don’t look like ordinary leggings) with a nice blouse, a gray casual blazer and some loafers. What would you guys suggests? Are they both too much given the interview is in a public library?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Does anyone know if they ask for first marking period grades? (Not that I’m hiding anything…I have A’s so far)

For those who were contacted for interviews, were you asked to fill out a questionnaire about your grades, sat scores, ap scores, and subject tests? I was quite surprised that they would ask me to fill a sheet out with my academic information. I was under the impression that the college wants to discourage interviewers from judging applicants based on their scores.

@Twainaddict: I was given a questionnaire as well! It didn’t have subject scores or ap scores, but I did have to fill out my SAT scores/GPA/rank and extracurricular activities, plus write a two-paragraph essay on my most significant accomplishment. I was also a little surprised, but if that’s what it takes!

Hey guys? I listed on my app that I was going to send in the three SAT subject tests I’m due to take tomorrow, but I really only feel prepared for one of them… would it be bad to submit only one (esp. when I already have another subject test sent in) after I specified I would be taking 3 in November?

@WooTheDay tbh i don’t think so. harvard is a score choice too, so even if you took all three you’d be fine sending in just one. it might be more of a conondrum had you applied to say, yale, but since youre not i think youre fine! two is the norm anyhow.

@frozens Did the interviewer give the questionnaire to you or did you get it beforehand? My interviewer contacted me but she never mentioned about the questionnaire…

@mindyru @twainaddict I also had to fill out a pre-interview sheet. Had GPA/exam scores/SAT and subject test scores, ECs, and the regular info about you. This was emailed beforehand since i was asked right off the bat.

My interview is tomorrow. Does anyone still think I need to bring a resume? Or does this replace the resume?

is there a due date for the additional document submissions on the student portal?

@mindyru: She sent it to me beforehand and asked me to send it back before our interview!

@Twainaddict I also had to fill in this questionnaire! The reason why I think we have to fill it is because during the interview we can talk about it. My interview had this questionnaire and my common app in front of him the whole time…( my interview was a very friendly conversation basically talking about my goals, achievement, childhood, school stuff;it had a natural flow!; I think it went amazing)
@Melissawilliams I didn’t take a resume! I don’t think u need one, but if u want to, u can take it and ask them if they want to have a look at it … Although I believe it is not necessary, because if it was, they would ask you to bring it… But u can take it with you INCASE they ask of it( which is very unlikely)
Good luck!

Hey guys! I’m an international and I was wondering if Harvard offers Skype interviews to international students? I mean to those from countries where interviews aren’t offered. I hope someone knows anything about this one… :)

@ivydreamer99 I am not 100% sure. But from what I’ve heard, some times international students do get a skype interview, but it’s not always, only sometimes… So it depends!

thankss @PcollegegirlP

Did anyone just take the subject tests? My brain is fried… #:-S What tests did you take and how do you think it went?

I took my third and final SAT today. Felt super good about it. Hopefully, I can break 2300+.

Good job @Hobbitton. Tell us how your interview goes!
