Not bad, my advisor at the US embassy's closest friend is the Dean of admissions or something like that. According to her, they have stopped placing priorites on scores, they search for something unique, so i think you have a chance depending onthe weight of ur other areas.

bennybrak,

Top schools search for something unique + great GPA + great SATs.

Just checked to make sure all my materials were received, the wait begins.

news is that this years transfer numbers have been reduced due to the increase of freshmens and less bedding and houses available.

bad news for us.

Wow, then i better not rely on them, i better keep an eye on cornell. Who has any idea of the % of internationals admitted as transfers?

1) Where did you hear that? I not really going to rely on someone just saying something on a messageboard without a little more backstory.

2) if they are missing my high school transcript according to the website, should I get my high school to resend it? or will harvard contact me if they need it (e.g. maybe they just haven't logged it yet)?

Hmm, i wonder! We can only be sure if we know Harvard over-enrolled for the freshmen or something like that.

@ patriot

is your first question directed at me? if it is then:

Yes, I was told first hand that transfer numbers are reduced slightly this year due to a slight increase in freshmen acceptances (40 to be exact).

alwayshere, so who told you that?I guess Patriot is eager to know the source of this information.

I was told by the transfer admissions officer last thursday. Not that this news will change anything amongst our group of hopefuls - it will all unfold in May.

40 more freshman were admitted or 40 transfers will be accepted?
I'm just curious. I'm not applying this year.

Harvard Applicants-

If the website says that they haven't received my high school transcript, should I have my high school resend it (it should have been send about 2 months ago)? Or do your webpages say that they are missing information on you too, so we can assume that they are still filing?

Would they contact us if they need information?

My high school transcript is stated "Not Received" along w/ my College's Official Report. I'm really confused because I've asked both and they've confirmed its been sent out.

Chill...they are completely overwhelmed with '11 decisions as of now.

anyone heard from harvard about possible interviews?

so what did you guys do?

Nice Stats. Very Unique Applicant. Thats What They Look For. Good Luck!

I sought a private professional opinion and he said I had no chance :( I don't even know why I'm applying.

Am I competitive, or do I not even stand a chance?

I think you're a competitive applicant -- but so is the rest of the applicant pool. Go for it, but try not to get too attached: you're dealing with one of the most selective institutions in the world.

Best of luck :)
