Class of 2012!!! The journey seemed pretty quick in my opinion. My final cumulative average was a 94.47% or a 3.8 to be more specific. Over the summer I plan to visit a few colleges (including Penn State, my dream school), draft essays and volunteer.

almost there- Texas is not in the south

LCB- HOPEFULLY!!!

While I as a southerner consider Texas to be part of the south, Texas is like California and Florida in that they are so large and unique that they stand apart from the regions that they are in.

But for me I’m working at my local library, studying the ACT, and lazing around the house when I can.

I’m from AL and CT.

blah. Summer homework kills.

I hate reading. Every single assignment of mine requires reading. Therefore, suicide is the only way out.

5 chapters of reading from AP bio book, take extensive notes, answer all sections questions and take test.

5 essays for AP psych in APA format, based on 5 areas of psych that we are assigned, from accredited sources (hard to find where the teacher wants is to get it from)

2 essays for English on 2 books we have to read.

Math packet.

That AP psych homework is unnecessarily excessive… just like my 50 page packet on the pope for AP euro

It only gets worse from here.

Studying for the various APs I’m taking next year, Stats, English, APUSH, etc.
Studying for the ACT. 3rd time’s the charm?
Finishing college apps/essays before August.

Getting my license.
And also realizing that I am a teenager and need to enjoy these years.

I realized that too, but work always comes before play (for me).

Wow, I feel bad for all of you guys with Summer asignments. I’m sure your hard work will pay off though. I’m gonna be working on my applications during the Summer, going to Florida, and golfing mostly. My top choices for college are Penn State and the University of Richmond.

I’m taking Advanced Anatomy come fall. We dissect cadavers, learn about bioethics, memorize thousands of bits of random anatomical info that we probably won’t retain, do ridiculous projects, and have fun.

We have to read 5 books on various aspects of medicine and write letters to the author for each of them. Whoopee.

We also have to keep a coin jar, but I don’t see how I can fill that up. It’s gonna be pretty awkward when I walk into class with a mini piggy bank with 5 pennies in it.

I need to learn how to drive because my permit expires on the 10th.

I’m looking at four APs and yearbook as editor-in-chief in the fall
I only have one summer assignment, and am hopelessly trying to find a job. I’m also starting to write my personal statements for the UC application. I plan on applying to UCLA (top choice), UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Berkeley, Cal Poly SLO, and Cal State Long Beach.

Yeah, I am also hopelessly looking for a job. Good luck though, I haven’t been able to get one over here.
