***Official January 2015 SAT (US ONLY) THREAD***

@Orioles21‌ That was definitely experimental

From Collegeboard about new SAT:

“For every passage students read in the SAT Reading Test, there will be at least one question asking them to select a quote from the text that best supports the answer they have chosen in response to the preceding question. Some passages will be paired with informational graphics, and students will be asked to integrate the information conveyed through each in order to find the best answer.”

@Mango920452‌ that’s a relief, I don’t know how people will do well on the new SAT because those questions are tough

Yeah I had a critical reading section that asked me to analyze a graph… Pretty sure that was the experimental one. It also had those questions that made you refer back to the previous question.

@Mango920452‌ I got 230, but was running out of time and just plugged in a # so that’s probably wrong lol

What did you all say or the last grid in on math?

I put 3999 but I forgot to include 2 as one of the numbers. The answer was 4000

Did anyone else get an “answer cannot be determined” for math?

laudatory vs saccharine

Laudatory

Compared to the November sat, I thought this one was easier in reading, harder in math, and about the same in writing

@breadrock how did you get 4000??

yeah for CD you cannot calculate the length

@breadrock how did you get 4000>

Darn, I said 9000, I don’t know what I was doing. Oh well, -3-4 math I guess.

i put laudatory but my friend says saccharine… idk

I got an answer for all of my questions in the math section. Exactly which question did you get an “answer cannot be determined”

what was the cd question again?

Also it is laudatory. Sacchrine = ingratiatingly or affectedly agreeable or friendly. Don’t know how that fits into the context of the sentence.

@TheDesiBoy‌ - The CD question, with the radii

@TheDesi The circles overlapping. Did you guys say 11 for the one about the sequence.
