***Official January 2015 SAT (US ONLY) THREAD***

What about the stamp question? It asked what does not describe the stamps. I put vintage… I don’t think I’m right.

@kkpanu9‌ I said fragile. The stamps were characterized as “vintage” b/c she got them from old letters.

@APScholar18‌ I get what you’re saying. I guess if your school is that mean :frowning: , it might make sense to do so.

@kkpanu9 I definitely know vintage was not the answer, as it talked about being antique stamps from India. Do you remember the other options?

Anyone say the snowflakes in that passage about a city in spain represent fragile and impermanent, and author refused to face reality?

For identifying sentence errors, was “weren’t sure how (will they) come up with funds,” was “will they incorrect”? Also the one question with just “so” underlined, was it “so” or no error?

@herpinburpin‌ i think the answer is supporting a previous statement. the examples of the trees and rabbits combined with the stabilization part support his statement that nature rarely allows for huge changes like that. I do not think his first statement was ambiguous with regard to time, as he did not mention time at all. To me, this implies that time is a non-factor almost. If the author had made a general statement regarding time and then used the two centuries thing, then I would say it is the ambiguity answer. But as it is, I think supporting a previous statement. I could be wrong though.

@texas1418‌ will they was incorrect, and so was incorrect as well.

What’d y’all get for g(a) - g(3) = -3

Also, the options for the stamps were like

fragile
vibrant
vintage
something I can’t remember.

Pretty sure the answer was fragile.

@Mango920452‌ yep. Concur on both

@texas1418‌ I said “will they” was incorrect. Also, I think I remember putting “so” as incorrect as well.

fragile and I think I said 1.

@texas1418 I said that so was the error because it was two independent clauses with no comma. I feel like (will they) forms a question so it should it they will, how they will raise the necessary funds

@ENoError‌ did you have the question with the diagram of the box? And what about the sequence where you add the first two before it?

y<x

@ENoError‌ I just want to clarify whether I had a math experimental. One of the sections did seem off, like the one with kitten weight gain graph

Can someone remind me of the sentence that contained this “so” error please?

In the longer writing section I got 4-5 no errors.

so is incorrect because it should follow the word pair so/such…that. Since such was mentioned earlier, that so should have actually been a that.

@didier. sequence was 11. (I got this wrong. D:) UGHHH

Also, the box was the last I think. If you’re talking about the box diagram that looks like a couch. There was also a box question about volume or something. . .that was like the volume doubled.

I got ', their petals changing colors" because I thought the rest produced a comma splice error
