Official June 10th ACT Discussion

Everytime that I have taken the ACT I can't resist the temptation to check my scores early.....it sucks because $32 down the drain

Hey, paki, as your name states are you from Pakistan?

In the middle of my english test i looked down my answer document and noticed that there were 5 tests instead of 4. I didn't think too much about it until after science when my moderator person (who had trouble with the english language) made a failing attempt to explain what it was for. It ended up being an extra math section and I had to complete 16 questions in twenty minutes. All the questions were hard like the last 16 of the regular math test. What was this about and does anyone know the bearing it has on my score?

Also, I think that the midpoint of the four cm chord thing was a semicircle???

You guys wanna hear something wierd?
On my way to the testing site, we saw a JD Power billboard and my step-dad started talking about the quality revolution and Demings and Japan! Coincidence?

Anyone want to predict the curve?

hawg15fan don't worry. This is the experimental section. They make the nonwriting people have to do this after the 4 counted ACT sections are done. This is just to see what they might use in the future.

I how many do you think I can miss on math and get a 30? I got a 31 in april in math but this test was harder and I feel like I missed a lot. Maybe becuase I have not done anything math related since May...

Also, the 4 chord thing was a circle. excel, predict the curve, if you will

Wait a second I never remeber seeing accepting...but still it said they were laughing...the choices were accepting (i don;t remember reading that), delighted (that's what i put?), and confused (which kinda sounds right)

This was so ambiguous!!

let me do some research and Ill get back to you on that....

I think I missed one on math max. A 30 is probably like 4 or 5 wrong, right?

pretty sure it was accepting b/c they didn't seem to care all that much, they weren't going to pee on themselves for joy that their children were rejecting their culture

It was accepting.

Btw, the curve for math will def be easier since most people thought it was pretty hard.

I'd say if you miss 6-7 your still in for at least a 30

On reading the curve i hope starts at two wrong for 36, then i will probably get a 34

science i think the curve will be ahrd, like always

and english pretty hard as well. Like about 5-6 wrong and you will get 30-31

I think....?

thanks stud. but how was it a circle?

dang i missed one on that and probably another one in that mexican passage

on the 1st passage when i went back i (thank god) found most of the answers ( i hope they were the answers) and i still think i missed 2 on that passage

so on reading its about 4 wrong - 34 approx (considering easy scale)

I suck at explaining, but you just have to imagine it.

arpster, no way 4 wrong is going to be a 34 on reading. Probably 31-33; definitely no higher than 33.

Well I didn't get to all of the math or science questions so I am screwed.

I thought the June test was easy? by that do they mean easy curve?
