Official June 4 SAT Reasoning test discussion

yep, i had aliens...can we figure out what all the sentence completions were? so far there is amalgam, imperious

aaorn i may have had the same form as you. was your free response math one with the 3 digit # that cant have adjacent digits etc..and another one of your math sections had 3 circles set up in the shape of a pyramid and it wanted the distance from l to m?

wow! there isnt a single that matches up with me except the writing. only one cr involving the japanese poetry

What did you guys put for #8 on the math section w/ grid-ins...it was something like,

If x = 4, then y > 3. Which of the following must also be true? It seemed very, very goofy/odd to me.

i never knew that the test would be this mentally taxing. i'm beat.

i chose "potenitally killing frost"...ARCH, did you have the animal/dog passage on your CR 19 question section---it was killer and the only thing that is going to screw my score up...i wish i could take it again or have had a different passage...dang!

yea i did...

if y , 3, x not equal to 4

yeah it was the contrapositive version of the phrase.

haithman: not that one

i had a passage about extraterrestrial life though

I had a section about aliens

if y < 3, then x is not equal to 4!

I thought the SATs would be abit harder, but I believe I bombed it anyway on CR and writing. For the essay I've got the media topic. Math was quite straightforward, I doubt I'll get anything wrong unless it's a dumb mistake I made and didn't catch. Ran out of time on the first 35 question writing section, strange situation made me leave like 6 questions blank. Otherwise, they're all filled, but lots of errors.

For passages, I've got:

Extraterrestials
Porcupine Woman
Plato and Poetry
Reporter reminiscing
Fermi's Paradox

That's all I can remember.

Any idea how many forms there are for this test? I was skimming through the last two pages of posts and I see only a few questions that were from my form.

I had writing experimental too . . . same as in March.

I put the choice that was basically the statement rewritten... like,

If y > 3, x = 4.

i got if y<3 then x doesnt equal 4....did any one have reading for section 2 and 3??? i thought the math was pretty easy..but for one of the grid ins..the one with the rectangle and u had to find the slope i think i read it wrong..i THINK i put 6/3..did anyone have that ?

for the "potentially killing frost" one, I changed it from the underlined to " pot. Killing frost" to the "it" after it because I think it was a wrong pronoun...

Oh and I had the topic about memories for the essay. That wasn't too bad. The first section of math was sort of tricky, but the other two weren't bad. I can't remember my passages . . . . The two passage one was about traveling alone v. traveling with other people. There was also one about caligraphy.

wow, so many different versions, it's giving my a headache

there was a wrong verb after the protentially killed frost phrase, but i wasn't sure if they were referring way back to the original "fruit", which is singular, and the phrase sounded SO incorrect..
