I used CliffsAP for the AP exam.

I bought Kaplan's SAT II for the SAT II.

I used CliffsAP for the AP exam.

I bought Kaplan's SAT II for the SAT II.

im using REA's and it seems like the wording on the problems are really weird? any thoughts on that?

REA is really random. Kaplan's review book and your TEXTBOOK are the best sources.

what about sparknotes?

I bought Barron's guide because they had more tests than the Sparknotes.

I think (now) that SParknotes is better but eh,, a little too late.

I have the Cliffs AP Book i used to study for my AP Exam so I'm good (i hope)

AHH. 2 more days!

I need a 780+ but 800 is a stretch.

holy crud I'm so nervous. I read the Princeton Review Biology, which I have seen with mixed reviews: some loved it, some didn't

i'm using a combo of cliffs, barrons ap bio and sat ii, kaplan (old version), and the ap bio review that's from peterson's that is supposed to match up w/ campbell/reece 6th ed.

gone thru much of the stuff already... i'd say that barron's satii bio is really different in organization. has details on some stuff that other books don't really cover in detail, though it might not be very helpful. i'd stick w/ cliffs and barrons ap... kaplan was useful too.

hey did you guys take the real sat II bio test? is it jsut me or was that considerably easier

Yea, i took it too and got a 760. On all the tests in barron's i got slightly lower. I think barron's tests are just really specific. What about u?

Let's rock this test this Saturday.

I just took the Barron's "mini-diagnostic test." I thought it was harder than the AP multiple choice I took in May! There were also a few errors (in one question, two choices were the same) and more than one question that seemed unclear or...just unrealistic. There was even one question that involved multiplying by 62...seeing as we aren't allowed calcs that seems like too much math for the actual test.
Has anyone else found Barron's to be unrealisticly hard/unclear?
Maybe it was just the diagnostic test, I haven't taken the others yet, but it has me worried.

Yeah.. I want someone's opinion on that too. Barron's seems REALLY specific, asking some unrealistic questions. Is the actual test like that? ANYBODY?

Oh, I just saw testace's post above, (s)he seems to agree with us, killaerone. I hope we're right...if the test is that hard I'm going to bomb it...I mean, I felt pretty good about the AP, and this is supposed to be easier, but you never know what collegeboard is going to pull, so Barron's is unsettling.

I have Barron's too, and it seems we all agree some of the "save the environment" stuff and random questions are a little off the wall, but I'm not too worried, because while I haven't taken it yet, the Barron's book seems to cover core basics adequately.

My question is, "Is the E mainly labs/experiments, while the M is more knowledge specific?" Because that's the way Barron's makes it look.

how did you guys do on the sparknotes tests? You can take one for free @ sparknotes.com....I got a 660, which is a bit disappointing

theblumuffin, you have to have an account to acess it though, right?

Is the SATII harder than the AP?

If I study from the AP review books I used to study for my AP will I be fine?

how realistic is the PR biology book

I'm pretty sure the SAT II is supposed to be easier than the AP.
And on sparknotes it says you have to buy tests.

real sat II bio was ********. it was only half the test and pretty easy anyways. i was mad at collegeboard for giving such a bad quality and short test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! waste of money.
