**** OFFICIAL June SAT US History Thread ****

Can someone make a google doc for the international version? Isn’t this the int’l thread??

I totally forget the answer choices. I remember that question and getting pretty fast so could you refresh my memory on the choices

new doc bc of ■■■■■■ :/

@Dilan412 King was removing ministers from pulpit, economic problems/unemployment, to go to established communities in Massachusetts Bay Colony, to make a model community. That’s all I remember. I think I said model community. Wasn’t the model community Plymouth, which was established in 1620 prior to the migration?

it was go to established communities in Mass Bay Colony

the model community was most definetely Puritan. John Winthrop, city on a hill. Puritans are different that Pilgrims

Why?

Right, but great migration occurred after it was established.

You’re not understanding. The question was “the Puritan Great Migration occurred for all of the reasons EXCEPT for…” the choice was for sure to build established communities. The Puritans wanted to BUILD the model community, it didn’t already exist.

And Plymouth colony was in no way a “model community”.

what did you put for silent majority

Ok fair enough, seems I’m wrong. But I do understand the question. I’m saying that I thought the answer was model community because that I thought wasn’t a reason for the great migration.

silent majority is would’ve defended helping South Vietnam

Yeah it would have been helping South Vietnam. Sorry, didn’t mean to imply that you didn’t understand the question I just meant that you didn’t understand that it was an “EXCEPT” question. Sorry man :)

Hey no need to apologize!

Can somebody explain why the answer was watergate instead of nixon pardon for the nixon and white house cartoon? I thought it was satirizing how nixon got away with watergate.

Thought it was easier than the practice tests but harder than the multiple choice for the AP.

Also, the mining question. I think everyone put the answer with the minorities. I thought it said it “excluded” those groups, which is why I chose that it gave everyone a chance to become wealthy. Wouldnt this be right since they were spectators who left to find gold?

@julesrulesx3 Nixon didn’t get away with Watergate. Had he not resigned he would almost certainly have been impeached. The Nixon pardon was referring to the official pardon of his actions by Gerald Ford.

Also, it didn’t say “excluded.” And not everyone had an equal chance to strike it rich, because there was discrimination against minorities. Also, huge mining companies often swept in and set up mining enterprises that took the wealth out of the hands of individuals and into the hands of big business.

@julesrulesx3‌ It specifically referred to the cover up so it’s Watergate not the pardon.

I freakin made stupid mistakes. Probably 6-7 wrong. Still a 800, right?
