Official June SATII Chemistry Thread

What was that one question about the ratio of .5 mol oxygen gas to .5 mol nitrogen gas? I knew it was a partial pressure question… I put 1 for it. Is that right?
Also, does methane have a lower BP than whatever the other compund was? It was a T T CE question.

I got TF for BP question

i put linear for HBr

Wait what was the second part of the BP question???

so far i have seven skipped, 3 wrong

@thelemonisinplay
I also put ratio of 1.

Molar mass does NOT depend on…

I said boiling point

Is that the question with ch4 and water?
I remember that it talks about hydrogen bonds and that water has a higher boiling point because it has hydrogen bonds.

Thegreatcatsby, I chose boiling point too but I’m not sure if that was right though :(

guys what was the answer to the galvanized steel?

Apparently it was zinc.
I put iron.
I think this is the only one I missed.

Yeah that’s right it’s TF for the TTCE problem with water and VH4 because its true that ch4 has a lower boiling point but it is not true that it has stronger hydrogen bonding

HBr is defintely linear but was that a question? I only remember there being one geometry question and that one was a tetrahedral, CCl4 I believe?

I put iron too. I have around 10 or more wrong I think. :frowning:
Sigh

And yeah it’s zinc because zinc is alloyed with copper to make brass

Wait it’s not iron? Isn’t Steel is made of iron and carbon?

wait.
for the metalloid question I put germanium because that was the only metalloid out of all the options…

the galvanized one was zinc.
I forget which one had brass in it.

Whats the fertilizer compound?

there was a question asking which molecule had a triple bond… i couldn’t find one that did but there must have been one so which one was it. matching section

Ammonium nitrate was the fertilizer

ya i put germanium and fertilizer was the ammonium nitrate Nh4NO3

Anyone have an idea on the curve

I’m thinking my raw score is looking something like a 65-70. Possible low-mid 700?
