ohmigod.
I though ray was a line with no definite ends.
How could I confuse the definitions.

Yeah, it's a line and a point.
you ARE right. sorry

I put -k too.

Also how about that question with the various equations set to zero and which one would be the same if you replaced x with -x??

Ahh Im starting to think I did really bad...

yup -k is right

It was the odd function, forgot exactly which one it was though.

I put the powers of 5 3 and 1.

are you sure? I really hope so.
i agree with -k.
I really hope it's the odd fuction.

Which of those >0 had to be true?

I went for x^2 -2x + 2 > 0 only

it had to be the odd function. if you put in -x, you get -1(f(x)). since -f(x) = 0, you can divide -1 by both sides to just get f(x) = 0, which will give you the same solutions.

wait. i didnt take the test, but isnt the definition of an even function f(x)=f(-x)... so how did you get odd? or maybe the question was a different...

yes, that's correct. Using x=1 for the other ones provides a counterexample. This one factors:

(x-1)^2+1>0, which is always true.

more questions coming to me...a cylinder one the answer was 37.5
then 1 about a car, i got 3/20
also a worker makaing 300$, got like 1,667
also one with 3 boxes on a graph of lnxsquared i think i got 21 but dont really remember

The same solutions one was indeed the odd one, which was like

x^5-3x^3+x=0.

37.5, 3/20 and 1666.67 are right
the ln x^2 I think is 15.5

Ohhh I get it now. slaps self for silly mistakes

So does anyone have the exact curve from the previous couple of years?....according to sparknotes its around 43, according to some others its around 45...but i doubt its as low as 43....but i have no idea so....neone?

joe, if i remember correctly it was (ln64 X 2) + (ln36 X 2) + (ln16 X 2)? = 21?

Which of those >0 had to be true?

I went for x^2 -2x + 2 > 0 only

I also went for x^2 -2x + 1

...am i right?

also i think i mita screwd up #2...the parabola problem..sadly..i think misread it, was the answer a>0? or sumthin
also the (radicalt, t) question it hink the answer was part of a parabola.....but no idea...

It was 2 * (In 4 + In 16 + In 36)

What about question #1...i thought that was REALLY hard ;)
