Official May 2008 SAT discussion

ahhh I saw evenhanded in a practice test and didn't bother to look up its meaning so I got that one wrong. The definition is right in the word too lol

I had two writings: the ship/telegraph one and a subway art one. The subway one was really hard it seemed so hopefully that was experimental?

i didnt get a subway

I only got two writing section, one of them is the 10th section ,the shortest one. and I got like around 5 sections of math,hoooray >.< but I guess this time if you leave around 2 blanks in math section you wont get the perfect score

Does anybody know when can we check the score online?

I put humble since that is the synonym for mean.

@ LesleyG: Scores will be up online May 22.

thank you so much KMZ,wish everyone good luck =)

There was a question about what was more fantastic?

I narrowed it down to a vast ocean or a boulder made by the wind...

I choose the boulder made by the wind?

Was that right?

Y'know I realized that for me the hardest part of the testing process isn't prepping or actually taking the test. Waiting to see my scores is the hardest part! Does anyone know if the hack worked the last time around?

Math only Italian was 9.
18 (I=9+9)+21(G= I+3)-9(both I and G)=30

no it was the ocean... sorry

right it was ocean

can someone explain the baby in june one? i got 9 for my answer.

i think it was 4

it was the ocean, and the math question for italian was 6. Check the other thread, there was a big debate and in the end everyone who said something other than 6 changed their mind and realized it was 6.

89 babies born. the least possible is 4 because it is possible for every other day to have less than 4 and add up to 89. This is not possible if the max for one day is 3 and all the other days are 2.

hey for the one that was like 23x+90n=5203 or something, what did u get?

did people get 'parochial' for one of the CR questions?

What about the merry-go-round question?

The two triangles that meet at a point whose hypotenuses make a diagonal?

Oh my gosh the people in my room were so annoying --- they kept complaining about writing in cursive and not being able to chew gum. xD

I think I improved from my 1920 from January. Hopefully I made it over the 2000 mark. I think one of my CR was the experimental. Do you guys know when collegeboard tells us which one is experimental?

It was:

23x + 90y = 4523

90(50) = 4500
23(1) = 23

And that gives you 4523 for an answer of 51.

I got 31 for the babies problem.

89 babies/30 days in June = 2.9666667

You can't have .966667 of a baby so the maximum number for each day, other than the 15th, is 2 babies.

x + 2(29) = 89 <--- x being the number of babies born on the 15th
x = 89 - 58
x = 31
