<p>usually in a 3 hr class there is one break anywhere from 15-30 mins from my experience…</p>

<p>I’m in Math 180 this year with Frank Tran. We got right into it from the start of the class, but he seems patient and good with teaching. So I’m not sure how many drops will happen :/</p>
<p>@tahtone - you can dual register as long as you are willing to commute. as for start dates on rio hondo you will have to find out online or by calling them. </p>
<p>@black - #3 sounds pretty good to me but with math that may be too far. i suggest you ask the prof what he/she thinks what you should do. generally they will know the drop rate of the students of their own class.</p>
<p>@ jet logic: I should have tried Frank Tran. But I have 2 other classes (Bio and 1A) On Tuesday Thursday so didnt want 3 classes all in one day… I would be at SAC from 8am-10pm haha Too late now… :(</p>

<p>IMO curving almost always hurts more than it does help.
curving only allows a few percent of students to get A’s and the rest B’s or lower.
and mtsac doesnt use a +/- grading scale to calculate GPA so that alone helps boost your GPA by a lot!</p>
<p>I guess I got away with parking without feeding the meter this time. Parking at SAC is CRAZY will it die down? I see a unison of people parking in red zones or just anywhere in which “parking” is possible lol. It’s funny that there seems to only be one security car giving out tickets… maybe that’s how a lot get away with it.</p>
<p>@Churroke, curve system sucks man. For the process of reviewing your essay just call Mt. SAC and speak to an operator. Tell her that you want your English placement test essay reviewed by a counselor so that you can move into a higher level English. It’s not that 67 and 68 are useless classes, but if you can get them out of the way why not?? You need to reach Eng1C before you can even transfer out. (Eng67, 68, 1A, 1C) That’s 4 English courses total which will completely lag your process of transferring when you could be taking other courses related to your major… </p>
<p>@blackmamba hey man try Khoddam for Math180. He seems to be a very good professor. He has an accent but he is still really clear and humorous in his lectures. He seems really popular so I don’t want to get your hopes up. It’s worth a try!</p>

<p>@vanquish - yea, be careful with the meters/illegal parking. even thguoh EVERYONE is illegally parking now…i know tickets will be given out to EVERY car possible. ive been apart of it and ive seen it haha. and yes it will die down in 2-3 weeks. :)</p>

<p>Parking this morning at 7:30 was ridiculous. It was bumper to bumper coming down Grand from 10 fwy. SMH Couldnt find a spot after like 30 mins… ended up being late and pay $3.00 for pay lot…</p>
<p>wow that is crazy…mornings are by far the worse time for parking because so many students have to work part-time or even full time.</p>
