<p>Woo, so classes have been pretty intense. Just dropped by to see if anyone else in this thread is going to the AS Fall Leadership conference up in Arrowhead later this month.</p>

i saw on a flyer at the student centre that in nov. u register for BOTH winter & spring courses D: ?? does that just make getting the classes u want harder D:
and also, I’m thinking of taking Eng1CH for the winter or is that a really bad idea cos it’s difficult or something D: i thought it would be an okay thing to do if I just take that and nothing else so it would be the only thing id have to focus on 
oh and, how long is the winter & summer session ?

i had no idea classes at mt sac would give so much work O<strong>O’’ taking AP classes in HS sure helped in getting me used to this stuff though… but I was like guaaahhh T</strong>_T cos to try and get straight As *TRY TO )': * takes a lot of effort… math 110 is also weirdly very difficult…</p>
<p>ive never heard of registering for spring/winter at the same time on the same day in november… seems really early for spring tbh.</p>
<p>but maybe things have changed. if that is the case, then yes this will make classes harder to get because who knows what you can take…what if u want to take a class with a pre-req and cant get it in the winter…? </p>
<p>that system is jacked up if they do that…basically expect to know what you want to take and amke sure you wont be taking any pre-reqs for a course in the spring during the winter</p>
<p>eng1ch is fine during the any time. i only took 1 class during winter/summer sessions as well so i could focus 100 percent, as they tend to move pretty fast. expect to be doing 1-2 essays a week. like…monday -prompt, tuesday- rough draft, wed- peer review, thursday -final draft.</p>
<p>winter/summer is only 6 weeks. usually m-th and is fast paced, so dont miss class.</p>
<p>i think the classes you have are just putting a load on you. most social sciences will be easier, but hard science and math do have work for you haha.</p>

<p>most ppl will either finish IGETC or come really dang close with some major pre-reqs done. but most will have 60+ units regardless of completing either.</p>

<p>I remember u said for a science major… It’s more important to finish pre-req than igetc… But when I went to the workshop… the requirement for TAG is 60 units and satisfy GPA needed… And there r so many ppl asking her after… I didn’t get talk to her …do what if u have 60 units and only finish a few of your pre req classes for a science major… R u still guarantee admission to ucsd?</p>

<p>@blackmamba - if i had followed through with pursuing to transfer to UC’s i believe i could have made it in. i didnt apply because it was USC or bust.</p>
<p>@churroke - i say to finish pre-reqs and IGETC if possible. but most ppl finish igetc and have a few pre-reqs left. as for TAG, as long as you meet the requirements and the GPA then you should be fine. id go talk to krystal in the transfer center to make sure though, she is an expert, im not :(</p>

<p>i didnt finish UC pre-reqs cuz USC and UC’s differ very very greatly.</p>
<p>if you finish IGETC and UC pre-reqs you’ll probably only transfer 30 or so to USC.
the curriculum is so much different, plus USC wants you to take classes there. (they want ur money, jk)</p>
