yeah got that too

theres not many open classes >_< have u got any ?

Looks like everyone remembered to pay except for a few. Some spots have opened just not the waitlist… before EVERYTHING was full. Oh wells, I’ll just go first day to try and add it.

yeah man this sucks. I see little hope in me even being able to add in the class on the first day especially when i’m not even waitlisted…

Nah there’s hope man. My math professor added like 5-6 people that wasnt on the waitlist… just gotta keep going to all the sessions.

@vanquish - u dont have any registered/waitlisted classes? goodluck im tired of tryin ill try tomorrow

@jackiet - hey welcome :)

first off, take the 3 placement tests, english math chem, unless you have AP scores to cover for them

2nd, figure out your major etc. then go to assist.org and fill it out

lastly, join honors and make it your priority to speak with LINDA DIAZ.
i cannot stress that enough. anyone and everyone who has spoken to her can vouch and agree :)

lmk if u have more specific questions

I’m taking a break from refreshing literally every few seconds for the last five hours, lol. I got a Eng 68 and Math 71… although I’m at the very back of the waitlist. Hoping to get a Chem 40 soon. BTW, anyone here had Joy Hancock for Eng 68? More importantly, is she easy?

@jk - have you tried placing out of chem 40 yet? a few of the peeps in this thread have and im sure they can help you :D

off topic but usually eng 68 doesnt matter so much since it isnt transferable.

Dainese, I’m not sure if I could test out of chem 40. I barely passed it with a D- in high school without knowing anything. (Explains why I’m at Mt. Sac, trying to get my life back together.)

Nothing moved AT ALL for chem 40 since yesterday… I’m planning to refresh all day again today. Wish me luck.

After three and a half hours of continuous refreshing, I got onto waitlist for a Chem 40 class! Woot.

ok so the only english class i was able to waitlist was this one ----->

[Class 12:10 pm - 2:15 pm T Bldg 26A 3821 Apr 25, 2011 - Jun 19, 2011 Lecture and/or discussion Sydney D. Bartman (P)

and im not sure how this works out. does anyone know how the online part works and whether i shouold try getting another class that doesnt require to be online?

youll basically be meeting once in a while to discuss raedings and turn in papers

aim for a non online IMO. but its better than nothing so keep it till you find otherwise

@dainese thx for clearing that up for me lol. i’ll keep it for meantime and try to get a non online class. this semester seems like if no classes opened up after 1st drop date. im on waitlist for about 5 clases and i got into 1 but its only 1.5 units :(

if you are on the waitlist, you’ll usually get the class. dont fret, were humans, we adapt. or die. LOL

hey guys about the books, if your expecting financial aid money during the first week will your professors understand? Or should I have the books by the first day of class?

@ Nifloe: is this your first semester? Usually they don’t expect books till 2nd week…

Hey guys, I’ll be your student representative at this coming Transfer Advisory Committee.
Do you have any ideas, suggestions, or recommendations to improve the “transfer culture” of Mt. SAC? Do you want to see more of any previous events or the like?

@blackmamba Nope it’s my 2nd semester. I wasn’t sure if all professors expected it 2nd week. thanks
