**Official Northwestern 2016 ED Applicants' Discussion Thread**

Whatever happens, happens. I am not going to go on my computer at all/check email until 6pm. (Which is like 7pm NU time). All we can do is wait. good luck guys, Cornell and Columbia already released - damn. This is all starting to feel too real.

That just made it seem all the more real! I agree with gobulls; I’m assuming it’s tomorrow because of the trend of being released the Friday before, and the school is closing for break as of tomorrow. I’m assuming the admissions people want to be done with this process just as much as we do!

columbia decisions came out today - currently living vicariously through their dreams coming true haha

any chance info is released over the weekend if friday doesn’t happen?
^not trying to sound like a pessimist here but i wanna know if i should be staying at home at my computer all weekend or not if it doesnt come out tomorrow

It better be tomorrow…lol I am going to see if I can stay home from school. I won’t be able to concentrate all day. Too anxious!

:/ I’m not gonna check my email- just check here. Someone should make a ED Results thread. I want to do it before I get rejected (and then not do it with much effort).

created one :)

It is true that last year Admissions kept telling people that decisions would be out by the 15th right up until the morning of the 10th, then released them that night.

I’m still hoping for all of you that it’s tomorrow evening, but in case it’s not you WILL make it through next week!! ;-D

@MomCares thank you so much for sharing your experiences! Looks like I will be calling their office first thing in the morning :D

I. Can’t. Focus. Other threads are blowing up! My heart sank when I saw the chances thread haha was hoping the news miraculously came tonight. Oh well!
Is anyone getting homework done tonight? Haha.

@ReadyToGraduate I’m not! I don’t have school tomorrow…then again I am! I have a project that must be emailed to my teacher at 9 am  but my day will be pretty nerve wrecking tomorrow

I have to work until like 9 pm tomorrow… I guess that’s bittersweet. On one hand, I get to keep occupied for 8 hours tomorrow, but on the other hand I may be a nervous wreck to work effectively. The fact that I get e-mail on my phone doesn’t help, either, because I forbid myself to checking my acceptance status on my phone. I’m forcing myself to wait until I get home tomorrow evening before I check the e-mail (if they do arrive tomorrow).

@GoBulls Thanks so much for doing it for all of us! I’m so pathetic checking cc literally every 10 mins…

AH I’m going to volunteer at the hospital (have no job). Will be home at 7PM. I rather kee[p occupied then sit over the computer for hours./:

@aleksander No problem at all. I’ll post the response I get soon as I call them in the A.M.

I would like to think that they would tell us tomorrow seeing as NU students start their winter break tomorrow after finals, so I’m assuming that the staff is going on break too and would want to tell us all before they go on break?

No, you do NOT want to take off from school tomorrow!! What you REALLY want is to be too busy all day to even think about it. You want tests, test, and MORE tests. You want to run a mile. You want to do something new - you wnat to do anything and everything you can to pass the time away.

You do NOT want to be staring at stupid pixels all damn day.

I will be working all day to pass the time away and make a couple of bucks to pay for the new NU sweatshirt(s), and wait for my son to come home and check his email. And so what if “release day” is Saturday, or even the 15th? It does not matter. It just doesn’t matter. If you are here, you’re in the race, you have a chance, and that’s what it is.

Good luck to all of you.

^ Totally agree!

I’ve been lurking on this thread and finally decided to post.
I really, really, REALLY hope they send the decisions tomorrow. It seems like it would make the most sense, given that the holiday break starts tomorrow after finals are over.

I called the admissions office twice this week (lol) to ask when the decisions would be released. Both times they said BY the 15th, so any time up until then.

I’m freaking out! Ah well.

Dahhh…If they release today it’ll be either a do or die for me, but neither do nor die would help my exams tomorrow…
