**Official Northwestern 2016 ED Applicants' Discussion Thread**

Thanks MomCares and jen3594!

I didn’t apply for FA, so I’m going to withdraw my apps promptly.

However, is it necessary to tell the schools that I was going to apply to but didn’t (like the schools that only have my ACT score and high school transcript)? I feel like they’d just ignore my email if I haven’t even fully applied… that’s just me though haha

FV: You’re probably not the only person with an incomplete application, so don’t worry about it.

@fadedviolinist I’m sure it’s fine if you don’t send one to schools with just the extras. I’m doing it just to make sure I don’t get angry emails from anyone asking me to complete my appplication (:

I’m so glad folks are finally getting those quarantined e-mails – and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

If anyone still hasn’t heard, I’d try to contact your ISP to see if it’s being blocked.

In D’s experience, you won’t get any angry e-mails when you withdraw applications, but because you are a high caliber of student who has been accepted to NU you WILL continue to receive mail and phone calls from some schools seeing if they can convince you to come. You may also get some letters saying you’re welcome to change your mind and come next year… or any year. ;-D

MomCares - Unless your ISP also supplies your internet, contacting your ISP actually won’t do anything considering an email service provider and an internet service provider are two totally separate things.

If anyone is still not getting the email, just wait.

As I recall, last year Comcast, who is an ISP, had held some of the e-mail from NU. Only after they were contacted by NU were those e-mails released.

Guys, today feels more surreal than yesterday. I’m contacting all schools I sent anything to just because they always call my house and ask me when I’m finishing my apps lol.

colleges call you?! then only ever email me… lol

also guys, post your stats on the results thread to help out next years applicants!
I know it sure helped me!

LOL YES! Admissions call me and alumni call me.-_-

I feel my post on the Results Thread is a bit too sarcastic cause I did work hard to get in lol.

Do they have “Class of 2016” shirts!? I have been wearing NU apparel religiously since last year… I want people to KNOW haha.

I’m so excited for all of you who got in ED! You must be incredibly excited. If you didn’t get in, you will have an equally exciting future elsewhere :)

i saw the class of 2015 had t shirts, we prolly get them during freshman week? im guessing?

but I just got my acceptance letter in the mail! It wasn’t small as I thought it’d be
confirmed that my link wasn’t a fluke! phew.

If you were accepted to Weinberg, they will give out Class of 2016 shirts during orientation. :)

congrats everyone!!! class of 2016!!! hey fadedviolinist… did you get your financial aid package in the mail with your decision letter?

i didn’t apply for FA ><
but the mail gives you your net id info and classy stuff :)

Oh! you got your acceptance letter in the mail already? Does it come with any goodies :D

I got scared for a bit since I live in Chicago. But I’m assuming its because no FA?

just an info book on the what next steps to take, official letter, and enrollment materials

they should send some goodies! like a bumper sticker or something lol

@ScrewedOverx3 I wouldn’t worry! My friend who also lives in the burbs didn’t receive his yet

Side Note: I usually get banned within 1 day of making an account. Why not this time? I hate my username lol!

Yay! I bought a bumper sticker on Amazon for my poor car that just got into an accident.<3 I bought NU jewelry on Amazon and the gear I bought from Marshalls.
