Hi everybody- I applied RD to the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. Really not sure as to whether or not I’ll get in, but anxious for the spring decisions anyway. I also did not interview, so hopefully that doesn’t work against me too much.

In the ED thread, plenty of people said they didn’t think they’d get in, and they did. Not saying it’s guaranteed, obviously, but I think everyone doesn’t think they’ll get in. Just the general way of admissions for great schools. Good luck!

@MidwestGirl - Interviews are not required so it shouldn’t hurt you!
I too didn’t interview!!

@Crimsonstained - Well even I don’t think I’ll get in!! But that’s mostly due to the Intn’l financial aid factor in my case!! I’ve received like 3 mails stating 10 times that I should look for alternate funding sources or something & change my status from aid required to aid not required as or else my chances of admission are very bleak!! :/

Now even though I’m guessing they are generic mails, the third one certainly had a more personal touch to it & did feel like a un-likely letter of sorts!! :p

Yeah, I guess there’s no good reason to be pessimistic about this- especially because the decision is completely out of my hands. We’ll just have to see what happens in April!

Still over a month to go! And I need to submit my finaid documents by today! :/

Anybody know what happens if the CSS Profile is submitted before the deadline but the supporting tax forms/income statements don’t reach them till a day or two later??

^I submitted my CSS PROFILE the day i had sent in my SAT scores. That was in January. I had sent in my tax forms about a week ago. So, I guess it should be okay.

Btw, I too received the emails from northwestern saying: find other sources, we got no money for you. Guess that makes the two of us expecting a rejection on this thread :p

My friend who had applied got an email a few days back saying: if your financial condition improves in the next 6 to 18 months, then please inform us, we will re open your file. Till then, we cannot offer you a place in Northwestern University.

^Dont ask me how he got the email waaaay before they release their decisions. And, play it safe man, send in the Tax forms today itself. Dont want to mess with their deadlines.
