@nopeyverg probs 4-5 PM Thursday. EST

@alafae I have heard that colleges can call guidance offices to get grades if your on a semester system and senior years grades haven’t been releases yet, but I feel like it’d be way too late for NU to ask for your grades rn…do students at your school usually get notified about decisions through your guidance office?

If anybody is NROTC, do you know how much weight is placed on the scholarship?

@cms4515 I’ve heard that too, but because I’m under a British system, we don’t have grades in the middle of the year whatsoever, plus it’s too late. And I’m the only student applying to US this year, and previously US applicants from my school only applied to UCs, so I don’t know how my school’s office works. I still think notifications should be sent over email? Oh well, maybe I’m just freaking out over something irrelevant…:(

You’re a Brit?

@alafae yeah it could very well be something completely unrelated to NU so don’t freak out too much:)

@ikadiggit Nope, I’m from Hong Kong but studying in a British system local school.

@cms4515 Hahha guess so. Thank you :)

This sensitive time period…lol… my counselor told every senior in school that no matter whether we get in or not, don t talk about it because the result might hurt someone’s feeling. Someone will be accepted and someone probably will be rejected… I just became more nervous when he told us this during a meeting…

@FailedHardAsian Good thing I don’t have anyone in my school applying to US lol. They don’t even know the meaning of unconditional offer/ acceptance…no congratulations/comfort when time comes :(

Will the decision be in the email or will I have to click on a link to the website or something?

@FailedHardAsian wow that’s really different from my school…we have a seniors college page where we basically announce what college we’re committing too and everyone talks about it

I’ll just say that if everyone on here gets in and I don’t, although I will be devastated, I will be genuinely happy for everyone who made it because I know how much work this took. I’d hope everyone else would feel the same

@yolanda1996 People have been saying that you will get a link in an email (the decision won’t be in the email itself I believe)

@ikadiggit I feel the same way!! I just really hope everyone ends up somewhere they’re happy, because everyone has worked so hard to get to this point.

yep that is the point… we are people who actually care about our future and we work hard for it. I really hope everyone will get in and see each other in the breathtakingly beautiful campus of NU.

Idk about you guys but this week I have been unable to get any work done. Can’t stop thinking about Thursday.

I had like four different dreams last night about this, each with a different decision outcome… so obviously I’ve been thinking about it too much.

I’ve been analysing my profile on and on and try to find faults they will see…and just thinking I might get not get in. Been slacking off school work so much gosh. But I agree @ikadiggit, let’s just hope for the best and know everyone deserves what they deserve :)

@Nardog15 Between this and Christmas break, I can’t focus on anything.
@bamboo17 How many outcomes can you have besides yes and no? Hahaha

Glad to see you guys feel the same.
