<p>I just called the undergraduate admissions office, option number 2 when saying “undergraduate admissions” into the main number’s voice prompt. I asked them if decisions will be sent out today and the woman said “No, you should expect to hear back by the 15th” but then I asked if she knew what day and she said “No, we haven’t been given a specific date.” By the sound of it, even they don’t know when they’re being sent. Could be today, could be the weekend, could be Monday. </p>

I just find it very unlikely that they would change their pattern when they’ve always sent them Thursday or Friday the past three years. </p>
<p>I’m more calm today than I was yesterday now that I know it really could be any day, but it’ll be disappointing if we don’t hear back tonight anyway…</p>

<p>There are so many conspiracies we could develop about this but we really won’t know until tonight… just a waiting game. For the sake of not being disappointed, I think we should all just give up hope for today and enjoy it as a surprise if we hear back today.</p>
<p>Honestly I think they try to be as vague as possible so that they have extra time if they’re not able to release them by today. There’s definitely a chance it could still be today, but who really knows. It will be BY Monday for sure.</p>
<p>Honestly they could have just gotten a ton of early applicants this year and are working on overdrive. The official date of by the 15th was released before they saw how many applications were submitted. It’s possible, unlikely, but possible, that they haven’t finished.</p>
<p>My bet is that the people answering calls aren’t the people delivering decisions, so they prefer not to overpromise. I remember how long this wait was for our kids, but try to savour the anticipation since whichever way it goes this wait is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.</p>
<p>The fact that you are all contenders for NU tells me you are highly motivated and capable, so wherever you land you will shine and they’ll be very lucky to have you.</p>
