What do you think?

Do you mean ED? @asr2017

I’m so nervous!!! I’ve wanted to go to NU for so long and now that its in make-it-or-break-it time i’m freaking out. What programs did you guys apply for? I did Communication Studies. I’m just scared because I’m from an over represented area and I have no real “hooks” in terms of diversity. My numbers are good-ish (33 ACT, 3.9 UW GPA, 4.5W) and my senior year grades are great but I’m afraid I don’t stand out in any big way. I don’t even know what to think.

@jezreader What about your ECs?

@jezreader state residency is not considered in their admissions process according to their common data set

does northwestern admit by major, school (weinberg, mccormick, etc) or just university as a whole?

@w17mywoes really? thats cool to know! where did you find that info?
@Vlau0707 I don’t totally wanna go into detail but i’ve been heavily involved with theater production in a couple ways for a long time and i’m an editor at my school paper and an executive officer for our MUN club, and I have a weekend job and some low key but meaningful (to me) volunteer stuff. and some internship type stuff in the industry i’m interested in.

@jaecha This is from Northwestern:
"TIP: Apply to whichever undergraduate school’s curriculum is most relevant to your academic interests – they are all equally competitive.

There is no strategic advantage to applying to any specific school, as we use the same admission review criteria for all Northwestern undergraduate applicants."

So I guess they admit by university as a whole, but would like to see your preference/whether your ECs reflect your interests! That said, many people apply undecided…

Hey y’all! I hope it’s not too late to say hello. I applied ED to Medill and I’m from Brazil. :slight_smile:
