Here’s the template, again. Get rid of all spaces in the braces.

Decision: Accepted

Objective:

[ul]
[] SAT I (breakdown): 800M, 720CR, 650W
[] ACT: 33
[] SAT II: None
[] Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.91
[] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Almost top 5%
[] AP (place score in parenthesis): Music Theory (5 both sections), Calc AB (5), Lit (4), US History (4)
[] IB (place score in parenthesis): None
[] Senior Year Course Load: AP Calc BC, Biology II Honors, Newspaper, AP Comp Sci, Gov/Econ Honors
[] Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.):National Merit Semifinalist, National Hispanic Scholar, and AP Scholar (With honors maybe? Whatever the one above the basic level is)[/ul]Subjective:

[ul]
[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): A lot of church volunteering and leadership, keys in the band at church, classical piano (half a page of state awards and superiors in competitions), newspaper section editor, jazz piano, guitar lessons. I think that covers it
[] Job/Work Experience: None, technically an intern at church one summer, but I didn’t put anything about it.
[] Volunteer/Community service: Like I said, a lot of church volunteering, along with Operation Christmas child every year
[] Summer Activities: Helped with our VBS (Around 1000 kids, I was in the band and helped with 4 year olds), went to Camp Electric (A christian music camp, but I didn’t put that anywhere)
[] Essays: Common App essay was good, maybe very good, not excellent or anything (yes those are very subjective, haha), I thought the supplement made me look like an excited 5 year old, but maybe that’s good.
[] Teacher Recommendation: My Newspaper teacher who I’ve had for 3 years now. On our newspaper outing I was in his giant two person inner tube, and I ate lunch with him, his wife, and other chaperones a couple times on DC trip, so he knows me really well.
[] Counselor Rec: She filled out her stuff before I even asked her to, so I assume very good. I’ve been around her office a lot.
[] Additional Rec:None
[] Interview:None
[/ul][ b]Other**

[ul]
[] State (if domestic applicant): SC
[] Country (if international applicant): USA! USA! But I prefer to think I’m either Brazilian or New Zealand-ish
[] School Type: One person went to UChicago last year, and that was probably the only top 50 school. It’s the Math, Science, and Technology magnet, and we’re pretty good, but we don’t send grads to top colleges.
[] Ethnicity: Brasileiro!
[] Gender: Male
[]Income Bracket: Past 4 years my dad was unemployed, my mom’s on disability and has a lot of medical expenses, and my dad just got a 60K job, so 60K’s the short answer, but we’ve been in the hole for a while (Plus I believe they still owe most of their mortgage).
[] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): I’m a URM, and both my grandparents went to NU, so legacy.
[/ul]Reflection

[ul]
[] Strengths: Math+CR SAT, hooks
[] Weaknesses: Writing score, maybe my school
[] Why you think you were accepted: To be honest, the hooks were completely a safety net, haha
[li] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: 'Bama so far, and Clemson provisionally [/li][/ul]**General Comments: It’s unreal… I hope all of you get this! **

We don’t have to withdraw other apps if we’re in financial need, right?

i could be wrong! don’t be sad! I’ve got nothing, but i’m communications… sooooooo… :/

I have tons of homework to do but now I can’t do anything but sit here and refresh 320498234 times !!! AAahhh good luck to everyone and congrats to those who already got in!!

Congratulations to everyone who’s accepted so far, sorry to the one rejection (I’m doing homework, so I’m typing this quickly). Don’t freak out guys, there’s no way that every single person but a few was deferred.

is it possible that a certain provider isn’t getting it?
like gmail or aol?

We live in minnesota. Daughter got a rejection email about 5:15 CST. She is disappointed but OK with the outcome. For what it’s worth, I think all the accusations about lying and trolls is kind of sad. Grow up guys. You will know very soon. (ACT 30, GPA 3.89)

I stopped eating. Hahahaha

I was on yahoo, but I don’t think that’s it. I’m pretty sure I heard that it was totally random from people last year. We’re racking up the post count though, haha. They need a chat function on this site so that we don’t have to refresh to see new posts, haha. Sorry to your daughter, but no need to worry about the ■■■■■ stuff. That was when one or two people had posted, and no one expected it today.

Lol rapfan, I got the same email a few minutes back.
