Official NYU Early Decision Thread!

i hate nyu because they rejected me. not officially, but almost all other ED students in my school have received something...and I am still waiting for the inevitable hurricane to attack

I Got Into Nyu Stern Today Thru The Heop Program!
Gpa: 97.7
Sat- 600,620,560
Sat Ii- 750, 780, 680

Im Mexican If That Helps. Lol!!!!!

What is the Heop Program? and did you get GSP? Do you live in Mexico?

HEOP is a program in which they help me pay for college! and no i live in upstate NY. and NO NOT GSP

I'm an American citizen living in Israel.
so i have two questions.
1. am i considered an international student? because in my application i said i wasn't because technically i have a NY address and i have US citizenship so i'm not international according to their definition.
2. do I receive the e mail that is sent out to international students living overseas?

wow rich, u are so damn lucky!!!! But wow GPA 97.7, i only got 85 i hope i have a chance.

I haven't noticed any prospective Tischies on this thread.
I'm buggin' out.

nothing in the mail today either..bad news?
i hate rejection...

Anyone from NYC get decision?

Was home sick today, went to school's "workspace Naviance site" with all the 2008 application numbers (usually it takes a week after your accepted to show up) and sure enough... there it was under "New York University" applied to date "9" accepted "1" attending "1" Got calls from 3 friends asking if I heard...I can only deduce that for it to be in the system today at noon, said acceptee must've gotten a GSP letter, cause theres' no way they could have processed anything received today by noon.

I'm feelin you tri-staters...at this point I don't MIND not getting in...in fact I've accepted it as likely, but it's this staggered information...GSP kids hearing Friday, then Saturday...but no one GSPED today even in California or the midwest???? Then kids in the tri state ACCEPTED to the school of their NYU choice today??? Put me out of my misery why don't you??? I'm afraid it's two more days of jubilent acceptances and then the agony of defeat (Thursday or Friday) I'm picking my dorm at my second choice school...I'm mentally movin on!

*** salem1? You are a drama queen. Take a Xanax and chill out. You don't know 'till you know.

no way, i totally agree with salem1. i dont care anymore, i just want to move on with my life and my decisions. i just need to know for sure!

Idee looks like we BOTH NEED XANAX (according to Mmoore) Hey Dude...maybe we should SHARE the MEDS with the thread cause there's a whole lot of anxiety here...and that's the beauty, We Have Each Other (cause no one else wants to listen but the fellow CCers) so a little compassion, empathy even. (I know you're trying to help) but the way I get through life is expecting the worst and being thrilled if it doesn't happen...so far it's a good strategy, and Like I said I'm in at my "lmost first choice"so I'm not worried about getting into a great-fit school. I JUST CAN'T TAKE THE 7 DAYS OF TOURTURE. NYU so needs a web site login like every other school in AMERICA...snail mail has proven really inaffective at winning the applicants over

I Am In. Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!

how...uh...may i ask...did u hear? just got home and mail? where u live? which school? thanks

I heard this morning but this was the first time I could post it here. I got GSPd.

salem1, i do the "plan for the worst, hope for the best" strategy as well

hueyfreeman where did you get gsped to?

salem1, "plan for the worst, hope for the best."
is there any other way?!
thats the way i see it too, i try to think of all the possibilities and prepare myself for what could be ahead.
while im sitting there kicking myself, my friends go on and on about "how im going to get in." but im freaking out here..i applied to some schools, but i have yet to find a second choice school that i love.

I applied CAS and got GSPd.

I only had a 1210/1600, 1890/2400 SAT score so many people still might get in with lower sat scores.
