Official NYU Early Decision Thread!

i applied ED to gallatin and i know at least 5 other people who applied ED from my school (theres more, sadly but those are those ones im friends with) and noone has heard back. i live in connecticut, about 1.5 hours away from the city.

Thanks fellow obsessive Eders..Huey..you in Jersey? Tried to find your complete stats but you found political rantings (A kindred spirit here...loVE political rantings, congrats and spread the love

Yeah Jersey.

has anyone in california heard any news?
im pretty sure im the only kid who applied ED to nyu from my school..so cali?

does it help that ur the only one who applied ed to nyu? cuz im the only one from my school and im wondering if that will help get me in.

i dont know, but i sure hope it does.

but im still curious,
i havent read anything from anyone from CALI yet
and i dont know how to take it lol

I live in north jersey very close to NYC... Decisions did not come today

North Jersey here too...nothing in mail.

Just a heads up guys...last year people who lived further away from NYC got their decisions mailed to them before the people who lived like an hour away. So hold tight, either way, you're going to get something in the mail.

balenciaga_baby, what school in CT?

just curious

(i'm from hamden high)

Why don't we all just list our gpa/sat right now, whether we got in or not?

gpa- 87.5
act- 28

Since NYU requires SAT 2's, I had to send them, and they were horrible. They say it's just for placement, so technically it shouldn't factor into the decision, but NYU is full of scumbags and I know it will. They also said they would only consider the highest standardized test score, which means they should ignore my 1660 SAT that was sent with my subject tests. But they won't.

Someone told me in homeroom this morning that they were due to come today.

It didn't.

Good thing I like being anxious about this sort of thing... : /

Anyone else in this thread applying to Tisch?

Int'l student who goes to a school in CT

BA/DDS program

no mail yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember calling NYU and the counselor told me that they accept just over 50% of ED applicants. about 33% went directly to the school to which they first applied to, and the others were deffered to gsp.

I guess the chances were 50/50, but now that gsp people have received their letters, it's 1/3 now...

oh seriously slater, its over 51% early decision? that makes me feel better. i though it was like 40% for some reason.

but im worried too, with my 3.3 gpa GSP was like my only hope :(
i hope it comes tomorrow
im about to throw up from stress

to whoever asked:
i go to masuk but i actually used to go to hamden like 3x a week because i used to do gymnastics at ct spirit which is right by hamden high.
which school did you apply to?

Is that true? That makes me feel really good. Not many people are going for my major so I guess that helps too. :]

peanutbutter, aparently less than 10% of applicants were GSPed this year. I don't know if that means they will accept more, or less people for regular CAS. In my opinion, NYU is naiive and they believe that the higher the selectivity, the more prestigious they will be.

gallatin as well

did anyone apply to Steinhardt here?
