I'm too afraid to try it...
I know my social, so I technically could, but I don't know that I want to find out that way, hahaha.

Well, it gave me the error thing so who knows. Chris, please try it!!

WHAT! Are you kidding me? There's no way...don't worry it's probably a mistake. I really don't think I can do it.

chris,
exaclty.
hahaha, there's not a chance that I can type in those words. lmao.

Eh, I just wish it would straight up tell you if you were rejected. FYI, it wouldn't work at all when I used my Social, so I used the NYU ID. Just do it, guys! I'll be doing it everyday until I get my rejection letter haha.

I got this thing that said they are looking for my Net ID (which has 3 letters then numbers) and not my NYU ID. Is that the error that means I haven't been accepted?

frozenlight - that's the same error for me too. it just means either rejected or no decision yet. ugh...no way to know!

i forgot how we proved that each other really got in last year...if it shows your netid, we all joined the NYU network on facebook using that ID, and made a group out of it. some of us bumped into each other in real life down the road which was pretty interesting.

Hopefully not frozenlight

Carina, don't worry. I definitely don't think you got rejected, there's no way. They probably didn't make a final decision yet since, didn't they just get your SAT scores a few days ago?

I think that probably means that you're using the wrong number, not that you ness were rejected.

Yeah it'd be crazy if to see you guys next year, if everything happens in our favor. :)

I'm so tempted to...but I really don't want to do it....gah

PLEASE do it, Chris! For us? For the seniors next year? Ha

i wasn't following this thread but chris, if you got in, your packet should outline steps saying that you're supposed to do this to activate your net account... the acceptance letter is a big purple folder with a bunch of paper, one of them stating step by step how to turn on your nyu email address with this being one of the first, so it's not like a back door. you have to do it eventually. it's up to you if you want to or not, but you seem to be portraying as using this link as a bad thing when in reality, you have to register with that link over the next month anyway. no diff in doing it now or next week..

I DID IT!

But with fake info just to see the error msh. lol I don't think I can stay sane for the next few weeks if I got the error message.

Hey greenelf, since you got in already, can you give it a shot? If you got an error too, then it's definitely funky.

Chris, that doesn't count! Ah SOMEONE else needs to do this for real so I can torture myself more haha. It's not a big deal, ya'll. Well...

Yeah I know, it's up to the individual. I don't think I can do it though. Might get a heart attack you know? Lmao I was barely able to bring myself to click the submit button on my app.

Aw you shouldn't have done it Carina! It's a pretty mediocre end to everything that's been building up these past months. I'd rather wait for the official decision.

i cannot cannot cnnot do it hhaha chris and i should start a club.

Well, Chris, I'm still remaining optimistic. But by this time next week, I guess I'll just finish up all of my other apps and get this show on the road!

i couldn't help myself and did it. it gave me the error message. great.

if EVERYONE's getting an error message, maybe no one's works yet?

then again, 2/3s of us are supposed to get rejected. (not to be a downer.)

Well so far everyone that's done it has gotten the error. I'm sure they just still haven't made a lot of the decisions yet. It's still pretty early...
