Hey Everyone! So I thought I'd make this thread for everyone who is applying to NYU for the spring 2014 semester. Hopefully we can all use this to ask and answer questions as well as just keep each other posted on admissions progress and decisions.

Here are my stats:

Applying to CAS for Neuroscience

Let's give each other advice and talk this through. I from New York and I miss the city and I love NYU. I hope all of us get in!

I too have applied for transfer for the Spring semester! I went to Williams College in Massachusetts starting in Fall 2011. I’m from Long Island and love flux pavilion (I appreciate the username). Also played rugby at my last school.

hey @scottsinger7 let me recommend you go to the thread I started in the NYU forum. It’s basically the same thing, but has had more activity. You’ll get more information from others over there

Hey! I’m so glad to have found this thread.

Today, I received my acceptance letter from NYU College of Arts and Sciences. I’m going for a major in music. I can’t wait for spring 2014 to roll around!

NYU will be my fourth (and final) university. I started at Eckerd College (Saint Petersburg, FL), transferred to SUNY Purchase (Purchase, NY), and I am currently at an art school on a remote Greek island, accredited through Massachusetts College of Art and Design (Boston, MA). I don’t have a standard GPA (I think it’s around 3.5?) and my SAT scores are a total joke. However, I wrote strong essays, participated in extra curriculars, and have the best recommendations I could ask for.

Does anyone know how many transfer applications NYU received this year? Or what they looked like?

I hope everyone gets into this incredible school! I’m still jumping with joy.

Thank you! I wrote my essays on my college experience thus far and what I need in a university. They were easy to write because NYU is a fitting place for me. I mentioned the programs and classes that stuck out to me.
