Official October SAT Math Discussion

Did anybody get 2xRadical3 for the bottom of that triangle problem?

Yea i got that

SomelikeitSimple, I got that, too. I used the (appropriate) special right triangle formula and multiplied by 2 for line AC.

23 thread pages later, I think for the trail question, had two different versions, one with a rest stop at the beginning and one without

I think i got that 800. So far none wrong lets hope the right answers keep rolling in.

hmm if i missed like 2 + 1 free response and skipped 3 what would my score be?

What did you guys get for 2w+2x+2y= 10 and w+2x+y=10 find x? Was it like 10? Idk i guessed ran out of time.

i dont think it was asking for x. wasnt it asking for w+y? anyway it was either 5 or 10, idr

It was asking for x i remember these questions as if i can see the test in front of me and yeah i think i guessed 10

oh yea it was asking for x. well if you subtract the 2 equations from each other you get w+y=0. so x=5

Was the section with the question 3^(x+1) = k (or something along those lines) an experimental section??? Thanks.

It was asking for X, X equaled 5. =P

I hope u guys put 8:3 for the ratio of # of lines to # of rests, cuz thats the answer, and sth most ppl will make mistake on

And to let u know… I got 1 wrong in january n got 760

If that was the problem, x would = 5. It’s just a systems of equations problem… multiply the bottom one by -2 and add them together. You end up with: -2x = -10

compiled list for math?

How much is a 49 raw score with this curve?
A 48?
A 47?

what was the humpback whale onne?

1/8 10char

Im confused right now… What was the question that had to do with absences?
Cuz I remember it saying 8 were absent for more than two days (i think) and one was absent for one day.
I dont get how the answers 1460 or 1600
